Fulham continues its search for its first points when they travel to Liverpool. Kickoff is Saturday at 10am EDT on Peacock.
It feels like a foregone conclusion that Fulham is going to lose this one - and that makes me sick. Under Silva Fulham always had a shot. I haven't felt this down on Fulham since the last time they started 0-3 back in 2021 when they went on to get relegated. The question is how will they lose? Will Arbeloa show any recognition of how badly things have gone with his approach so far or is he just going to swap a few players and still express frustration when they can't make his magical thinking work? Will the players stay in the game even after an early goal from Liverpool or will they seem defeated no matter how much time is left on the clock?
I'm sorry for being so grim, but I won't mind a shellacking like the one Scott Parker got from Liverpool when he managed Bournemouth. That allowed Bournemouth cover to make an early and necessary managerial change so they could survive and finish in 15th that season.
I would tell the Fulham fans who make the trip to Liverpool, no matter what, don't boo the players. This is not their fault. They need a manager that won't make them look incompetent.
