When Nigeria won the third-place shootout against Egypt at AFCON the final penalty was taken by Fulham Alumnus Ademola Lookman. Lookman famously blew a PK against West Ham in 2020 when he attempted a panenka. This time he had a no-nonsense shot and got the job done for Nigeria. That success, plus Brahim's botched panenka that gave Senegal the title over Moraco, put Lookman's 2020 attempt well into the rear view mirror.
Joe Bryan has retired from football:

The past few seasons he's played at Millwall, but he struggled to get playing time as last season went on and he was released over the summer.
During those up and down seasons centered around COVID, Joe Bryan was one of my favorite players. It is crazy to say it now, but there were many times I preferred him over Antonee Robinson! For a few seasons I thought he was generally a more reliable defensive option than Robinson. He also had some great chemistry with Mitrovic.
While he was with Fulham through a lot, Joe Bryan will always be remembered for one mind-blowing performance against Brentford. He was Harry Wilson before Harry Wilson! It is a good time now to watch again Fulham's farewell video to Bryan from a few years ago:
