Larsson and Angel are in. Long-term, should we expect a Larsson/Charles double pivot under Josh King? I don't know enough about Larsson, but his reputation and stats are impressive. From what I understand, our deal for Affengruber was agreed, but I don't know if we put the deal sheet in on time. I don't know anything about the guy. If Kenny stays, that's not a bad thing.

I'm not quite where Micah is regarding Arbeloa, but he won't have forever to learn on the job. I'd rather the board overreact and cut him loose too soon than react too late, once the hole gets too deep. If we don't get at least 6 points from the next 4 matches, I can imagine TK starting to look in a new direction. Or at least he should.

And Affengruber is in. No idea how good he is, but the Fulham announcement describes him as a "pacey" CB. Is he meant to compete with de Fougerolles as for Andersen's spot?

The sheer number of CBs will give Arbeloa the option of playing 3 in the back, though I don't know if it's something he'd consider.

Affengruber certainly sounds like the kind of CB Fulham needs given how Arbeloa is setting things up. They need to try something different, so let's give him a shot and see what happens. It sounds like Tomori might have been an even better option, but it seems like he wasn't interested in coming to Fulham.

Reflecting back on the window, the biggest disappointment is that no one was brought in on the right wing. I won't say a replacement for Wilson, since Bobb is supposed to be that guy, but someone needed to be brought in as backup. Now the best option behind Bobb is Sessegnon. That seems bonkers, but at least Sessegnon can shoot. 

Fulham did get a striker in Gonzalo who has potential, so that was a reasonable choice to bring in. I'm disappointed Diop was sold, especially since Fulham got less for him that what they paid a few years ago. After the World Cup he had that seems like bad business. 

I can't help but feel like we've got the worst case scenario building up here - a manager who may not last long but who reshaped the squad with his player preferences. You can't tell me that three Real Madrid players were on Tony's radar before Arbeloa. Now if Arbeloa's approach doesn't work the next manager will have to figure out how to make Fulham successful in a way that it wasn't built for. I've had memories of Magath's signings - Bodurov, Fazlic, and Mr. Sweatpants - Gabor Kiraly. That same feeling of "Who are these guys?". I really believe the signings this summer are not nearly that bad and have far more potential, but there are very few certainties about what to expect from the new players who have come in.
