This is a restart of the January 2026 Transfer Window thread from the old forum. So to recap:

  • The consensus is Fulham needs to bring in some more players - attacking threats are at the top of the list with so much currently riding on Raul
  • Fulham made an offer to PSF for US international, Pepi, but it was rejected and then he broke his arm which will keep him sidelined for a while
  • Benda came back from his loan at Millwall
  • Luke Harris is back from his loan and then off again on another loan to Wycombe
  • Cairney extended his contract by another year - whoo hoo!
  • Oscar Bobb is going to happen! And then it doesn't. At least not yet...

Oscar Bobb has been signed! The official announcement on the five and a half year deal:

The BBC sticks with the 27 million figure, so it seems like good business. He hasn't played in weeks because of a hamstring injury, but he still passed his medical, so I'm not sure what to make about that. Hopefully it means Fulham has confidence it has or will heal (or maybe it wasn't the whole story for not being in the squad), but that makes me wonder how long we'll have to wait to see him in action.

Keeping fingers crossed. It would be amazing to add him.

If one you knows a striker who'd like to play in Eindhoven with some Champions League appearances, please call Tony NOW! It looks like a deal won't be possible because PSV can't find an adequate replacement for Pepi.

Part of me wonders how much of this is for show. For Fulham to convince Silva to stay and for PSV to build up Pepi's value. Was a deal really possible?

EDIT: I forgot to mention that Fulham did turn down an offer for Wilson from Everton, so that's good at least.

We got serious about Pepi too late. If he has a good world cup we'll probably be priced out. But I'm more disappointed that we didn't get an upgrade in holding/defensive midfield.

I agree with Micah that the activity this winter was probably to convince Silva to stay, and I wonder if we've done enough.

About Pepi, kind of think ex-US player Ernie Stewart, who runs PSV came up with the ‘replacement’ excuse. PSV has a 17 point lead in the Eredivise and Pepi is out for another month+ anyways. What’s best for the player? Unless he hit the ground running he’d be 3rd choice striker, learning a new league, culture of London, which is not ideal with WC looming. He gets back at PSV and goes on scoring he’ll be on the roster. Ernie looking out for the kid and USMNT’s best interests had to come into play.

A very interesting analysis. All the more reason to focus on developing the academy talent and giving them chances to succeed. https://www.fulhamish.co.uk/p/how-scr-will-impact-fulhams-transfer
