If anyone is looking for something to listen to at work from 10AM CST-12Noon CST, listen to World Soccer Daily. It is hosted by Nick Geber and Steven Cohen of Fox Football Friday and World Soccer Weekly.

It just recently became a daily show and it is nice to hear soccer talk during work. Here is a link to the World Soccer Daily website:

I thought I would add a little bit to this thread with some more information regarding the show. World Soccer Daily airs Monday-Friday at 11AM EDT-1PM EDT. The boys talk about the Premiership, MLS, Champions League and they also do trivia with some great prizes like jerseys from kitbag, subscriptions to 4-4-2 magazine, etc.

There are a few different ways to listen to the show. The first is on Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 122.
You can also listen to the show by clicking on these websites:

In addition, Nick and Steven send out emails three times a week previewing that days show. It is like an agenda for the show and it is really nice. I signed up for it and get the emails myself. If you want on the mailing list, just send Steven an email at steven@worldsoccerweekly.com

I am hoping more people will listen to the show and more specifically, I am hoping more Fulham fans listen to the show, call in and talk more about the Cottagers. I have called in a few times and the two hosts are nice and have a lot of good insight and information.
    Cheers!

Thanks to World Soccer Daily, I just received my free Pipex Fulham kit. It is brand new and fits great! I will be sporting it proudly here in Chicago. They give kits away on that show all the time. You should give it a go and win yourself one.

I listen from time to time. In fact I tuned in today and heard Georgie Bingham sp?, which was great.

In General I don't find they offer enough. My impression is always that they're just fans and in no way experts. Which is fun sometimes. They offer no insight just the same garbage us fans go on about. When it comes to MLS or really any other club league besides the EPL they're knowledge is embarrassingly limited for talk show hosts. Research seems to be a concept that’s lost on them.

Now if Bobby McMahon had a daily show that would be some good stuff

Well I've listened to the show this week for the first time since last summer. I must say it has gotten remarkably better. I think the loss of Geber, apparently on some prolonged poker binge which has thoroughly pissed off Cohen, has helped the show.

Great interviews and such in the past few days.

Steven and Nick together is too much for me. There radio skills are sorely lacking. In fact Steven interrupts everyone on the show all the time and as a listener it is very annoying.

The show has gotten better, but I agree that it is the same old stuff everyday. In the last three weeks I have just started listening again. I got so sick and tired of all the Chelsea and Liverpool talk from these guys.

I like the fact that there is a show or two devoted to soccer, but these two really need to learn how to adapt and improve their on-air skills. As someone like myself who was a Sports Director, a music director, a dj and a play-by-play football and basketball radio person I feel I can comment on such things as I have just done.

There is a difference between good radio and just radio. At this point this is just radio.

Check out the 2 G's at 12PM EST/11AM CST on Sports Byline. It is an hour and these guys started earlier this year. They have improved and are trying some innovative things. In fact, I will be a Fulham correspondent for that show this season and be a guest once in a while. Check them out, www.the2gs.com.

I agree it is better than nothing. I just wish they would take the time to improve their on-air skills and improve the show in general by adding some new thoughts and ideas to it rather than just talking good stuff about Liverpool and Chelsea while slagging off all the other teams in the Premiership. That gets old in a hurry. There is a reason I quit listening for almost one full year. And I assume I will eventually get sick of it sometime during the season. But, all in all, it is nice to have a soccer show.

Today Steven said he thought Fulham stood a good chance of being relegated yet gave no real reason. That got to me. I'm sure if you asked him on the spot who the Fulham signings were this summer he wouldn't be able to tell you one, yet he wouldn't hesitate to talk about what a crappy team we are and how were going to go down.

Really this show is a typical American sports talk radio show ala Jim Rome, in that the hosts dismiss anything they don't know as crap and go on and on about the same stuff they do know. Only difference being that the subject matter is soccer.

Did love the caller who said he was enjoying watching the ManU bandwagon slowly empty and the Chelsea one fill up.

Heh... wonder if he also guessed Reading would go back down!
    {Damn, I dont even follow Reading at all but yet i'm dead certain they wont relegate, hmmmm!}

Anyway.. there are DAMN few REAL soccer experts in the US, and it seems to me the more read they are, the weirder they get.

    Anyone follow Glenn Davis closely?

If it's any consolation Steven picked Fulham to go down last year pretty much based on solely the preason All-Star match betwen Fulham and the MLS All-Stars. It's been said before but their knowledge and reasoning is sub-par.

Petty, I've been following Reading for three years. I'm not certain they are staying up. Sunderland had a very good performance in the Championship the year before, but they were relegated. Some of Reading's fans are hoping Fulham, Aston Villa, and Watford get relegated. There are few other teams they mention they want to fall, but they think they have a better chance of being better than the mentioned teams. I hope the are wrong about Fulham, but they still stay up.

As bad as Nick and Steven are I would much rather listen to them then hear Rob Stone or someone like that sugercoat everything. I would love to see guys like Derek Rae and Janusz Michallik from espn get a show.
