The Washington Post has a really good preview section today:

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/sp ... /front.htm

Their special World Cup page is at:

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/sp ... index.html

I'd be surprised if there is a newspaper in the USA covering the World Cup as well as the Post. They have several people over there and, in addition to the special section, have had World Cup stories on the front of the sports page every day this week. (Today's is on England and the Rooney-watch, and there are two other stories inside, one on Reyna, and a general WC roundup.)

Also, if you XM Radio, they have started their World Cup channel, #148. Right now, they have talk and call-in shows going on, and they will broadcasting every game live.

The call-in shows are hosted by Dave Johnson, a Washington-area sportcaster who does the DC United games on TV and is a *Fulham* fan. (He was in London about a decade ago, the only game in town was a Third Division battle at the Cottage, and everybody treated him so well, he became a Fulham fan.)

Oh, just want to say that I looooove knowing that this tournament's ball is "roundier", per Tommy Smyth (I forget during which match he said this).
