Thanks Heather for the Heads Up, Tim, are you going to be mysteriously sick around lunch time next Mon? Trying to figure out where to go, Fox & Hounds might be too packed too early to get a decent seat.

No mystery about it. I put in a vacation request the day the groups were announced. Will PM you regarding the F&H.

Luckily, it seems that Efan Ekoku will be back. I thought he was by far the best color analyst in South Africa.

In the "Jeez, how come I'm always the last one to know" department, when did Neymar become Neymar Junior?

That's a good call - forgot about him. And I don't dislike Darke, it's more of a "meh" situation.

Ian Darke is a cutie pie. It's Macca I have to suffer through. Seriously ESPN? Again

Even though Brazil deserved the result, that was a hideous penalty call. Don't know if it would have affected the outcome, but as many observed on social media, that's why our fellow countrymen disdain the beautiful game. Good effort by the Croats, but clearly outclassed by Neymar and Company. Pretty impressive for an opening World Cup match on home soil with the weight of the country on your collective shoulders. I hope we don't come out flat on Sunday, as we seem to be in the habit of doing in these scenarios. Of course, that doesn't always mean a win. Still got a real bitter taste in my mouth from the 2011 Gold Cup final at the Rose Bowl. Going up 2, then losing to El Tri 4-2, ugh.

What's wrong with Macca? I like 'em both. Brings back warm memories of winter early Saturday mornings with Cooper the Maltipoo and a hot cup 'o' joe watching Fulham in the Prem---(oops, sorry).

Besides the horrendous dive that led to the leading goal, a special kudos has to go to the Croatian GK for the single worst goal keeping I can remember since Tony Warner manned the Fulha goal. Dove too early on slow rolling Neymar goal, too weak after guessing correctly on the PK, and dove waaaayy too late on Oscar's finale.

This was definitely not a match to pull how to perform like a top flight goalie clinic material from.

I was on the road all day, but caught the goals while setting up for a gig. That was the weakest penalty call I've seen in a very long time. I've got it recorded; I suppose I'll watch it.

The penalty call was one of two suspect calls in my opinion and both favored Brazil. I won't elaborate since you plan on watching the match.

agreed Barry. The call against Croatia and I'll leave out the rest of the details was horrible as well. in my humble-american-hate diving-soccer limited-mind.
