Not very sporting of the Devil, but what do you expect with a name like that.

Anyways, sports center tweeting that Sao Paulo transportation workers have gone on strike. Is this just the beginning of the trouble that has been predicted? People predicted problems in SA but all went well

Anyone up for a FUSA WC pool? ESPN has a pretty easy-to-navigate bracket game. I'd be happy to set up a group if there's interest.

Marco Reus WC looks to be over. Left the field in a lot of pain. That's a pretty big blow for Germany.

So Iran is only valued at 3.6 million? I bet Fulham could close to that if not more for Ashcan, is the rest of the Iranian squad only worth a pair of used goalie gloves and a bag of chips? Japan has quite a few good players to be worth that low of a value. As far as the US, how much are just Tim Howard, Brad Guzan, and Michael Bradley worth?? I'd hazard to guess close to 15-18, so the other 20 guys are worth 400K each?? Jozy was worth 6 million last offseason, I'd think Stoke could get 2-3 for Cameron, Johannson or Fabian Johnson are going to be high dollar acquisitions in the near future, but are worth 3-5 each right now. In other words the author or whomever put that together is clueless.

Perhaps it's based on salary per year? Because, yeah, I looking at numbers and wondering about the totals they came up with, but I can see this as being fairly true in where the teams are ranked in terms of players' value.

Looks like Dejagah will be starting for Iran. His corner led to their first goal today against Trinidad & Tobago, whom they beat 2-0 in Sao Paulo. I guess it's the old double edged sword. The experience will help him, which, theoretically, helps us, but if he does REALLY well, we'll lose him. Of course, we may lose him anyway, so.....

I'll be watching all the Iran and Costa Rica matches. I'm huge fans of Ashkan and Bryan, even if they never appear again in Fulham kit.

And San Jose, CA native and MLS player Steven Beitashour will also be playing for Iran. I have no idea how much playing time he sees but I will try to catch some of their games.
