Assuming he doesn’t set the footy world on it’s head by ripping off 10 straight wins, odds are Scott will not be named permanent manager. Who should it be?
Since the Khans are now 1 for 3, and basically pulled Jokanovic out of their butts, there’s little reason to be optimistic, especially with Tony still doing his Billy Beane impersonation. But, somebody’s got to do it, so let’s speculate.
I’d like to see us pry Rafa Benitez away from Toons. He took them straight back up after failing, from a nearly impossible position, to keep them up in 2016. He knows what it takes to compete in this league, and he’ll surely find the Khans better owners than Mike Ashley.

 

Something I’ve found interesting since Scott Parker’s appointment as interim manager: unless someone in the print media asked him, I can’t find any examples of a journalist asking him what should be the most obvious question of the season. How do you fix the defensive issues we’ve had this season if, indeed, they are fixable? Not. Once. Three press conferences (pre-Chelsea, post-Chelsea and pre-Leicester). No questions about a defense on pace to concede the most goals in the history of the league? That’s journalistic malpractice.
