My answer is any and all Mojave 3. They are my favorite band. I have also been listening to Interpol, The Thrills and the Raveonettes a lot lately.

    RE: What Cd

I've been listening to a band called the jealous sound

its the same lead singer as in knapsack. Doubt many have heard of it though.

that and the polyphonic spree. the most bizzare band i've ever heard but there is something addicting...and very stupid about that band, but i still listen to them.

I do not know Jealous Sound. Who do they sound like? I have the last Polyphonic Spree disc and it is not bad. How is the new one?

My favorite tune on that disc is "Slow Motion." I think it is #11.

I really like the drum solo at the end of that song...I like faster and the more upbeat ones on the cd...

I actually hated it at first and then 2 years later, I listened again and it became a classic to me.

Yeah, third eye blind is an interesting band. Their first self-titled album had like 5 or 6 radio hits. Blue was a bit different and I liked the direction they went. Slow Motion, 10 Days Late and a few others are ones I like. Their last cd had a few decent tunes opn it as well. Overall, not a bad band. Not my favorite, but not bad. Stephen Jenkins, the lead singer, was dating Vanessa Carlton. I am not sure if he is anymore.

Second polyphonic spree is leaps and bo unds better than the first.

I'm assuming you have the first with the song about reaching for the sun, the one on the VW commercial a year or two ago. The new one actually has verses, they just don't sing hey its the sun over and over again.

Mike, PolySpree is this band with i think 27 members, they have horns, violins, a choir and a bunch of other stuff. You've probably heard their songs on VW commercials and some movies, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind is the only one i can think of right now. They're weird

Yeah, I have the first one. It has a pink and gree cover with a painting on the front I think. I do not listen to it much. I thought it was decent though. I do need to check out the new one and such. I think the fact that there are 27 people in the band is hilarious. I wonder how the royalties are spread out??

Yes and I think it is even better than the one before it. Very very mellow, her voice is different, almost like a little girl singing I'd say. Good stuff.

i just got blackalicious' new disc = blazing arrow......solid hip-hop with a definite funk feel.....and no songs about his hometown or how much "bling" he has.

    i definitely recommend it.

I don't know about the Artest cd...but I've been listening to: The Secret Machines - Now Here is No Where; Stellastar - Advance, and The Delays - Faded Seaside Glory. All quality alternative pick-ups...
