    Ouch!

Norway up 2 - 0 at half. They scored two in the first 5 min. which I did not see, but the US has dominated the possesion. However, they arent creating much in terms of scoring opportunities, taking too many shots from outside. The US can win and win and then just cant seem to handle the pressure of these big tournaments.

Hope Pia can help calm them at the half.

A ship without a rutter. Abby Wambach means that much.

But, a sobering example of how comfortable the US has/had gotten, and how driven other countries have become.

I just saw the replay..ouch. Those first 5 minuntes felt like an akward first date and the rest of the time was spend just trying to get through the thing, not make it better. On a side note, l enjoyed watching the game without commentary. It gave it more of at the game live feel to it. I do believe it will get better for the U.S. Women though. They did look better in the second half.

A big gold medal match with Brazil on Thursday! Congrats to the US women for getting the job done despite the early setback. They beat Japan 4 - 2 today after being down a goal. I've enjoyed watching their games because a lot of different players are involved in the play making. IOW, it's not all Abby. COYRWB!!

Have to think the Brazilians will be favored after seeing some highlights, but hats off to the ladies for coming together w/out arguably the best player in the world and getting to the Gold Medal round.

been boycotting all of the Olympics, but good to see that The Women pulled it out. Good on Lloyd, and especially good on Solo.

Won't ask (it's own thread perhaps  ) why, but Phelps, Bolt, Walsh & May-Treanor, have been worth the price of admission.

Solo made good on her word from last WC when she said she would have made those saves. I just hope the former coach realizes what an idiot he was for benching her. Have to salute the entire squad and coaching staff for coming together w/out their best player and earning the gold.

Way to bounce back from the WC fiasco!! I just love it when we win a gold medal without our best player, arguably of course. Pia has done a great job returning the RW&B chicks back to glory.

A big congratulations to the US women for winning the gold and beating a very, very talented squad.

I do have to say that Marta and Christiane are so incredibly fun to watch!

My congrats as well. That was a fun, albeit harrowing game to watch.
