as it turned out, they kept a clean sheet. That's a bummer, but I wasn't too displeased to see that Liddypuddle won away.

Break Saha's leg? Not very "anti-bumpy" of you GBFC!

On the other hand, maybe who to root for in this match will make Rod Stewart ["you're Celtic, United/but baby I've decided/you're the best team I've ever seen"] so confused that he'll stop butchering the Great American Songbook.

    Or am I just dreaming?

I'm cornfused. But I have seen a scarf with Celtic on one side, and United on the other, with each teams colors appropriately situated. Wassup with that?

I'm skipping class to watch that match on Espen two. I've always liked the Hoops a lot more than Rangers, and Nakamura being there made me follow them even closer.

That being said, I'd love to see Celtic take a point (or all three) from the match and move onto the next round.

    Nakamura = fantasista!

I watched the game with my friends and roommates (none of them knew who Celtic or Man United were). I went absolutely NUTS when Nakamura scored that goal.

With the win, Celtic are through to the knockout rounds. Yes!

The real icing on the cake was seeing Saha miss a blatantly easy chance at the goal, then following that up by missing a penalty. The expression on his face after the penalty miss was absolutely priceless.

Well, Celtic has surely assured themselves runner-up status, now down 0-3.

Meanwhile, ManUre and Benfica are dogfighting for the final spot, tied 1-1. As is, United move on with 10 points (Celtic would have 9).

Arsenal and Porto are no doubt lollygaging their way to both qualifying. Tied 0-0 in what must be a yawner.

Just read the writeups for today's matches. Cool that Feilhaber got a 29 minute run-out with Hamburg, and glad that the British teams are through, but I hate it that Milan is to the knock-out rounds when they shouldn't have been allowed in the competition in the first place.

I am now a firm fan of whomever plays those @*$*! in the next round, even if it's the Scum.

Break out your green-and-white hoops Don, because Celtic will be their opponents in the next round.

To be honest though, I'm not optimistic about the Hoops' chances. Milan has had a much better go of it in Europe than in Italy. Celtic rarely gets results away in Europe, and unfortunately, I don't expect it to be any different this time.

    The complete draw:

    Porto vs Chelski
    Celtic vs Milan
    PSV vs Arsenal
    Lille vs Man United
    Roma vs Lyon
    Barça vs Liverpool
    Real Madrid vs Bayern
    Inter vs Valencia

Celtic gets the de-fanged boa constrictor, AC Milan.

Celtic at home in the first leg. Off to Milan in the second. (Wish I was off to Milan in a second.)

    Most interesting match-ups in general:
    1. Barca v. Liverpool
    2. Real Mdrid v. Bayern Munchen
    3. PSV v. Arsenal

    IMO

My picks for the first matches of the Round of 16 (who I want, not necessarily who will win):

    CELTIC over AC Milan

    Lille losing to MAN-WHO?

    PSV over Arsenal

Real Madrid losing to BAYERN MUNICH

Good excitement for today. PSV v. Arsenal is on ESPN2 live. Real Madrid will be on ESPNClassics delayed. Celtic is pay per view. If you wanted to watch Man-who?, I think you may be screwed, although you can get any match streamed to your computer, according to ESPN and UEFA.

    Check it out.

    C'mon Bhoys!!

I believe the Manchester United - Lille match is on Setanta LIVE this afternoon.

As for who I want to win, Celtic, Manchester United (although I like Lille as well), Arsenal and Bayern Munich.

    Halftime update:

    CELTIC 0 - 0 AC Milan

    Lille 0 - 0 MAN-WHO?

    PSV 0 - 0 Arsenal

    Real Madrid 3 - 1 Hamburg

I am watching the streaming coverage of CELTIC v. Milan, and I have to say, WHY THE HELL DON'T THEY DO THIS FOR ALL SPORTS!?!?
