    It doesn't matter, because the original story will be remembered by people when they vote, and that was the point of the story in the first place.

    More importantly, doesn't this mean all McCain volunteers should be checked for mental health issues??

    Let me make myself perfectly clear...

    Remember the articles on the 'haters' at the Palin rallies?

    I dont recall any of you guys getting all outraged when it came out that some local reporter made up that shit and the MSM parroted it.

    I'm with Fog on this one. Her claim seems hardly believable to begin with. To me, being exposed as a fraud is more memorable. In fact, I hadn't even heard this story until she was exposed.

    let me 'splain here.

    1. The story is reported that a McCain supporter is robbed and sexually assaulted by a black man -- the latter because she had a McCain sticker on her car.

    2. The story is exposed as a fraud.

    3. In about a week, if anyone remembers anything about it, it'll be #1.

    It's like when FoxNews talkers refuted the Obama is a Muslim story. The more they repeated their "sigh, it's a shame how stories like this get started," the more people connected Obama with Islam.

    I don't think the McCain campaign had anything to do with this poor old Aggie [oops!] being deluded enough to pull this stunt. I certainly don't think McCain did, but just as there's thousands of people who believe Obama is a Muslim, there'll be thousands of people who are thinking -- "Man, if our women aren't safe with him as a CANDIDATE, what's going to happen if he gets elected."

    That's why I said it was sad. And, 'fog; were there any racially motivated bogus police reports connected with the Palin thing you mentioned?

    Agree to disagree then. And being from College Station does not one an Aggie make.
