Hmmmm... my feelings have not changed all that much.

Just as a BTW - the first elbow from the BYU player... I am 99% confident that it was due to the fact that Lambert was doing something to deserve a little shot.

Like PINCHING! What is it with girls and pinching?!? I have never been pinched in a game by a guy - normally punches are the kidney is the 'screw you' of choice.

 

The article Don linked mentions that it was a rough game both ways. Something to keep in mind.....from what I heard, BYU shot the footage, so that's their editing. I'm not saying the girl isn't completely out of line, but it's starting to sound like the cheap shots and rough stuff went both ways. Well, until Lambert went Allemeine SS.

You guys are right though. I went to one of the west side high schools in Vegas and neve had any luck with the Mormons. I wasn't about to replace mickeys with coca cola.

LOL! Yeah, weird as it sounds, half the population of Vegas is Mormon. There's even a Temple there, so you even hear Mormon couples talking about "running away to Vegas to get married" :-D

I think the whole UNM girl thing is a lot of ado about nothing. Is she the first player ever to deliver a cheap shot? I think if she wouldn't have done the ponytail takedown stunt she would havenever seen the light of day. They were dirty plays, possibly red card material, but not enough fo me to know her name. ESPN has air time to fill, so we all now know her name.

Jensers. Yeah, as a Mormon convert, I had to chuckle when I observed the Mormon teens sneaking Mountain Dew the same way other teens sneak beer.

 

I keep hearing complaints about the officials and why they didn't book her earlier in the game. But the most horrific acts were away from the ball. The back punch and the pony-tail-pull-down were away from the ball, and probably were not seen by the officials. It's always easy to criticize the ref after the fact when you're watching the video replay.

My question...who took the video? Obviously some one knew enough about this gal and her style of play to keep a camera focused on her.

 

I believe the footage was from The Mountain, which is the tv station for the Mountain West Conference. As far as Mormons and Coca Cola, I'm drinking a Cherry Coke right now and I'm Mormon. And daaaaaaaaaaaaaaang, it tastes good!

I guess the BYU coaches didnt notice or thought someone else would complain or that it would be 'narcing'.

And NCAA might only have assigned three officials and the two lines were busy.

But then, there's your last point. Sorry.. the officials DESERVE the dissing.

And Steve, this was ONGOING. That's why the video is so tedious to watch.
