"Seven years of college, down the drain!" -- that one's almost too easy. Almost.

"It's in the hole! It's in the hole!"" Bill Murray, Caddyshack.

"Those of you that don't want to be killed better just slide on out the back" -- Clint Eastwood, Unforgiven

I dont have much time so I'll submit... just about every line of dialogue in 'Raising Arizona'.
If you dont like that.. then how about 'Oh, Brother...'

Coen Bros am evilly delicious. Problem is by creating so MANY quotable lines, they dilute their own product.

Agreed, Pettyfog, but by far the best Coen movie is "Fargo."

    ...yah, you betcha!

That is #3! Sorry... for watching with the family on family holidays, 'Raising Arizona' is the vehicle of choice. It's all about family relationships {though so are Brother and Fargo, to lesser extent} and my kids can quote almost every line as it comes up.

Let's spawn new thread on that.. not fair as Coen's win hands down.

Adn as Don points out below.. about half the narrative, as well.

SteveM, you quoted the two funniest movies of all time.

Amen -- although There's Something about Mary also makes the cut. One day in Baghdad we watched Caddyshack while we had some down time -- one of the 19 year olds in my squad had never seen it before. I felt like a proud father that day!

This is a hybrid. This is a cross, ah, of Bluegrass, Kentucky Bluegrass, Featherbed Bent, and Northern California Sensemilia. The amazing stuff about this is, that you can play 36 holes on it in the afternoon, take it home and just get stoned to the bejeezus-belt that night on this stuff.

I'm always tempted to post this when the political discussions on these boards start to get silly.

"Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

Almost the entire script -including the narrative- of Raising Arizona. Maybe you can find a few more memorable in other movies, but in cumulative value, you cant even come close. Unless it's another Coen Bros film.

I didn't like Sideways as much as some, but...

I'm not drinking any fucking Merlot!!!

    That was a pisser.

And, from There's Something about Mary, "WE GOT A BLEEDER!!"
I laughed so hard at that scene that I couldn't hear the follow up line until something like the 10th time I saw that movie -- "Bet this never happened to Woogie".
