Turning right back around, we have another game on Sunday v. Sunderland. With Bobby Z out, and who knows who might need a break to heal from the recent workload, blah blah blah,

How about 3 points on the road? Sunderland cannot win a game to save their lives -- winless in 13 games.

    My guess ---

    -----------Schwarzer
    ---Baird -- Smalling -- Hughes -- Shorey
    -- Duff -- Murphy -- Etuhu -- Gera
    --------Elm -- Nevland

-- Zuber..., Hangeland, Greening, Riise, Kelly, Okaka, Dikgachoi

All of this is assuming Zamora is out, if he isn't , then he goes in for Nev, Nev drops to the bench, and Dikgachoi is scratched. It also would further prove the auxilliary theory that, as usual, I'm just advertising my ignorance.

Curse be damned, I'm calling it now -- 2-0 to the 1st time Europa round of 16 qualifiers.

Well if Sunderland are that bad and we're on the road then we're probably going to lose.

But whatever -- we just beat Shaktar.

FSC is airing the game on tape delay at noon.

I'd start the Irish Kaka over Nevland

I'd like to see Elm and Kaka up front. Our defense needs to keep the organization we saw yesterday. Sunderland's a wounded animal and could be dangerous. On the other hand, if we score early, their crowd turn on them and they will become our ally.

Joy deferred for me in a big way. Church, lunch, then a local High School production of Grease. It'll probably be 5 before I settle down to watch the game "live."

It'd be nice to see us get another road win before all our trips are to the Big Four.

I'm sure Steve Bruce is thanking his lucky stars he's catching Fulham on this of a short week and w/no Bobby. Elm and Nevland together? slow and slower. Who knows maybe they can lull the Sunderland D to sleep. I agree with letting Okaka get some serious playing time (more than 15 minutes). I think Roy has to be very careful w/his veteran players. Wouldn't be surprised to see Greening, Riise on the pitch. Honestly don't think we're getting anything out of this game, hope I'm wrong.

SCJ: we've played 2 matches a week the entire month, and that month has turned into probably the greatest in Fulham history:

    4 league matches -- 3 wins; 1 draw -- 10 of 12 league points

FA Cup -- victory and into the last 8

Europa League -- victory and draw and into the last 16

All of this with significant injuries, some of the oldest starting lineups in the league, and playing twice a week.

Sunderland are this season's Hull. There's no reason why we can't spank them.

I'm expecting it to be ugly and for us to get nothing. We're 0-1-2 at Sunderland since '05. We may be on a roll, but the Blackcats usually give us problems and our old legs are bound to be tired. I'll like our chances better if I see #25 on the pitch.

D'oh Don couldn't you have picked a team that we didn't lose to twice last season to put in that statement.

I would like to see O'kaka and Nevland up top together. Young legs and energy next to the sage wisdom and goal poaching ability of Nevland.

Earlier this week I told myself that I'd be fine with losing at Sunderland if we could beat Shakhtar, and now I guess I've gotta put my money with my mouth is. A result would be great, but if we lose, it'll still have been a great week.

Reports of Mr. Zamora's death have been greatly exaggerated. According to BBC, he starts today.

The question then becomes, who sits down for Shorey?

BBC is so in love with Rooney on the bench, they can't be bothered to give the lineups for Fulham. So, I checked SOCCERNET

The answer it that Kelly sits down for Shorey. Aside from that, no changes for The Mighty Whites.

On the bench? Zuber; Greening, Elm, Okaka, Smalling, Kelly, Riise.

I REALLY like our chances now.

Maintaining radio silence until about 4:30 or so this afternoon. COYW!
