Reports are circulating that Juventus winger, Eljero Elia, is due to have a medical with Fulham today with a view to signing by the end of the week.

Elia is considered a pacey winger with an abundance of talent but, since his move to Serie A with the current champions, his career has taken somewhat of a downturn. He appeared four times for the Italian side while his team mates conquered their league.

Having paid 9 million Euros for the winger, it was thought Elia would flourish with Juventus but his lack of action has prompted him to hand in a transfer request which, of course, has made a deal with Fulham more appealing.

He impressed in a spell at FC Twente, where Bryan Ruiz also made his name, before moving on to Hamburg and then Juve.

On his Twitter account this morning, in English, Elia wrote: "I hope today is My Day". Read into that what you will.

It's been reported in Spain today that along with 5 La Liga clubs, Fulham and Southampton have made enquiries about Real Madrid's Juanfran Moreno.

The 23 year old Spanish right winger has only made 1 appearance for the Real Madrid 1st team but made 96 appearances for the B team.

He now feels he's 1st team opportunities are very limited so is looking for a move to guarantee an opportunity at regular football. Whether he would looks to move outside of Spain remains to be seen but it's interesting that we're linked with Southampton for another winger. Are we sharing the same scouts?..

Wolves will sell Steven Fletcher if a club offers an acceptable fee but manager Stale Solbakken does not want to see the Scot leave

Wolves boss Stale Solbakken will allow striker Steven Fletcher to leave the club if the price is right.

The Scot has been linked with a move to Sunderland, Stoke and Fulham after suffering relegation with the Black Country club last season but his new manager does not want to lose his frontman.

“Fletcher and Kevin Doyle and the other strikers are experienced players we want to continue having here,” Solbakken said.

“But everyone knows that, in football, money talks.

“They’re players of great value for us and at this moment in time they’re Wolves players. And I hope they will be at the start of the season.’

Solbakken confirmed that no club had made a bid for the striker at the current time.

“It’s one thing what we’ve been told and one thing what’s actually on the table,” he added.

“There are no offers at the moment. If there are key players who we rely on here that, for one reason or another leave the club, we must have very good players coming in to fill their roles.

“This doesn’t just apply to us - this is the same is for any team. There’s always one bigger fish out there that you have to keep up with.”

Ghana winger Albert Adomah is in talks with English second-tier side Bristol City after they refused him the opportunity to talk to Fulham.

The 24-year-old has been linked with a £3.5 million move to the Craven Cottage in the past but Fulham officials have been told they cannot talk to the attacker.

However, the former Barnet man-who has spent two seasons with the Robins-began talks with the club to allow him talk to Fulham.

Adomah has been linked with a move to English Premier League side Wigan Athletic.

Tomas Sivok has brought an end to the mounting speculation surrounding his future by signing a new contract at Turkish side Besiktas.

The Czech Republic international saw his previous deal expire in June, making him available as a free agent.

Reports suggested he was destined to try his luck elsewhere, with clubs across Europe putting terms to him.

Sivok has, however, opted to prolong a four-year stay at Besiktas.

"We have agreed on an extension of his contract and on Wednesday Tomas is to join Besiktas at their training camp base in Seefeld, Austria," Sivok's agent Jiri Mueller told CTK.

"The best offer has won. Before Euro 2012, Besiktas offered Tomas an extension on reduced terms, but the new offer was double the amount.

"It has paid off to wait."

Lucrative

Sivok is understood to have received offers from Sevilla, Everton, Fulham, Valencia, Spartak Moscow, Juventus and clubs in the Middle East.
"We received one very lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia, but there was also one from Juventus," added Mueller.

"Pavel Nedved is a member of their management and he was interested in Tomas.

"However, he would have been a third choice defender there and we did not want him to warm the bench.

"His family did not want to move to Moscow so, in the end, it has turned out best for all concerned."

French press are tonight reporting that Fulham have approached PSG about a permanent transfer for 24 year old French midfielder, Clement Chantome.

We've been linked for some time with the talented French central midfielder but Lyon have been trying to gain the player on loan. Fulham though are said to have discussed a permanent transfer with the player and PSG and are awaiting a decision.

This story does seem to have some credence after continuous links and it looks like we've now pushed ahead in trying to sign Chantome on a permanent transfer.

Cardiff City are set to reject an offer from Fulham for Peter Whittingham, according to The Sun on Sunday, while West Ham striker Carlton Cole has been linked with a move to Craven Cottage.

It is claimed Fulham will offer £2.5m for Bluebirds midfielder Whittingham, who scored 13 goals last season.

The Sunday Express say Fulham want Fraser Fyvie, 19, who has turned down a new deal at Aberdeen, while The Sun suggest the Whites are one of several clubs interested in Burnley striker Charlie Austin.

There is continued speculation about Clint Dempsey’s future, with the Daily Star on Sunday reporting that Liverpool’s American owners have sanctioned an £8m bid to buy him from Fulham.

The People, however, suggest the Anfield club’s offer is unlikely to be more than £6m.

Striker Andy Carroll has been linked with a move to west London as part of a possible deal for Dempsey.

The former Newcastle man is also wanted by West Ham, and The People say Fulham will move for Cole if the Hammers get Carroll.

The People also claim that Sheffield Wednesday boss Dave Jones is interested in signing Joey Barton on loan from QPR.

Fulham have been rebuffed in their attempts to secure the services of Cardiff midfielder Peter Whittingham.

The Cottagers tabled a bid of £2.5million for the 27-year-old, but Bluebirds manager Malky Mackay is keen to keep hold of his star man as he prepares another promotion push.

Martin Jol wants the former Aston Villa man to replace Danny Murphy as Fulham's creative force in midfield, but as Cardiff are financed by their wealthy Malaysian owners they are in no rush to sell.

Whittingham netted 12 Championship goals from midfield in 2011-12, the third season in a row he has broken double figures.

Fulham have stepped up their interest in Nigel Reo-Coker and Ivory Coast striker Yannick Sagbo.

Reo-Coker is a free agent after activating a clause in his contract following Bolton’s relegation from the Premier League.

Boss Martin Jol has also opened talks with French club Evian over 24-year-old Sagbo, who is valued at £3.5million.

Fulham are also interested in Juventus veteran Vincenzo Iaquinta and Huddersfield’s Jordan Rhodes.

MARTIN Jol could add up to FOUR more players to his squad before the transfer window closes at the end of the month – but is remaining tight-lipped about his list of targets.

The Fulham boss has so far bolstered his side with the signings of right-back Sascha Riether, Mladen Petric and Hugo Rodallega.

Jol wants to bring in another striker and a midfielder at the absolute minimum, but revealed there could be even more coming through the door at Craven Cottage.

However, the Dutchman wants to keep his dealings on the quiet.

“We're talking and doing everything behind closed doors,” he told the Chronicle.

“Hopefully we can present the fans with a couple of good players.”

He added: “We got Mladen and Rodagella in, but we need at least one [striker], maybe two other ones.

“We also let Danny [Murphy], [Marcel] Gecov and Dickson [Etuhu] go, all defensive midfield players.

“We've got [Mahamadou] Diarra and Steve Sidwell, but we need one or two midfield players.”

So far I'm just a little disappointed, but that seems to be the case everytime. Seems like we get our hopes up a little too high with some of the names Fulham are linked to only for it not to happen. But it's not over yet.

Posh striker Paul Taylor is reportedly a transfer target for Premier League side Fulham.

Taylor scored 12 goals in his debut season in the Championship for Posh last season. He rejected the offer of a new contract at the end of the season so was placed on the transfer list at his own request.

Posh manager Darren Ferguson admitted Posh had rejected a bid from an unnamed club for Taylor last week. The 25-year-old has also been previously liniked with Everton.

Sky Sports News are reporting that Martin Jol has had a bid turned down for Dnipro midfielder Derek Boateng, merely months after suffering a similar fate in the January transfer window.

As such, it is clear that Jol is keen to add Boateng to his ranks, with our Dutch manager viewing the Ghana international's versatility as a key asset. Boateng can operate, effectively, at both centre half and centre midfield.

Boateng himself is after a move away from Ukraine, despite only signing in 2011. He sees the Premier League as a particularly attractive choice, after stints in Greece, Sweden, Germany and Spain. His club, however, will only sanction a deal if the right price is agreed, even though the Dnipro coach, one Juande Ramos, has admitted that Boateng wants to leave.

It is thought that Fulham will return with a slightly improved offer.
