Thanks, Tom. I forwarded my email to Carrie (different last name but is director of ticket services so I'm guessing she's the same person). Do you think you'll be able to make it down for whatever game we decide on?

 

Well at least you only have 200 miles to drive....i 550 miles....I am hoping the MLS will put an expansion team in St. Louis so it would only be 4 1/2 hours instead of an 8 1/2 hour trip. I know that there will never be a team here in Memphis. I'm sad now.

 

Some folks who meet up at the BrewHouse in Atlanta to watch matches have decided to get together for a Silverbacks game or two. Mostly Arsenal fans...would like some Fulham support

Crew is do-able. If something is planned, I would love to attend...sure I can drag some folks with me !

If there is a Crew match from mid August to mid September that the Fulham supporters will be attending I should be able to make it.

I've never been to a Crew game so it should be an experience.

I finally got in touch with someone at the Crew about a FulhamUSA outing there. I've been trying to find a date that a) is in the summer months, so no one has to worry about conflicts with little ones going back to school; b) doesn't conflict with any holidays (like July 4 week); c) is far enough in advance to allow people to plan for it; and d) is a date on which I'll be in town.

So I came to the conclusion that July 22 matched all those criteria the best. That's a Sunday 5:00pm game vs Toronto FC. Hopefully that date works for everyone or most of you that were planning on attending.

I was told by the Crew guy that he would block off a section for FulhamUSA use, and he would give me an order form or at least his contact info to give to everyone else. The Crew, in my experience, have always been very accomodating to their fans and fans of Fulham. So hopefully we can reward that exceptional customer service with a good number of ticket sales.

When I get the order form or contact info, I'll forward it to Mike or Tom and see if they'll post it somewhere that everyone can easily find it.

I will be back by August 10th in the midwest, so don't think I can make that.

Nice one Jelly, if I was stateside I would attend but I'm happy to hear that the Crew are helping out. I think they may become my MLS side.

I don't think you want to do that to yourself Mike. Fulham and the Crew, that’s A LOT of pain, tears, and anguish. I'm certain the combination is what makes p-fog so cranky, and you don't want to end up like that do you :wink:

Well, yer RIGHT! There's no excuse for what's happened with the Crew. Sigi made a huge mistake and now we're paying for it. All the rest of you keep this in mind when you advocate vast changes for your teams. Takes a certain type of coaching and management.

Speaking of which, I cant imagine why Mike wouldnt go with NYRB... they are brilliant and the real deal! For the first time in their history, and that is ALL due to Bruce Arena.

And the fact that he has a fantastic striking partnership. Altidore, Mathis and Angel (in my opinion he could still be playing in any one of the top leagues, shame it didn't work out at Villa)

I would love to make it, but I doubt I will be able to. Pending on the date, I am going to try and come. We will see how things shake out this summer.

Well, let's see... Angel wasnt working out for O'Neill. Isnt that a topic we've speculated on a year or so ago, on who might be a better manager than CC?

And Mathis, well known head case, is doing well, under Bruce... and a youngster flourishes as well.

Anything there NOT related to Arena knowing what he's doing?

Arena has succeeded at every level he has managed at, I will give you that. Talent must be there as well, so while heaping praise onto Arena, lets not forget that there has been at least a fair to good amount of talent everywhere he has coach.

Good manager though.

Jozy Altidore is the future.

I would definately be interested in a Crew game just down the street from Cleveland here. June and July are not the best however due to being in the middle of a house move here, but I'm sure I could find a spare day here and there.

Alright, everyone. The Crew get together will be on July 22 vs. Toronto FC...the order form is being emailed to me today and I will send it along to Mike and Tom as soon as I get it.

The Crew are also working up a link that we can put on this site that will allow you to order tickets online, and those orders will go straight to the ticket agent that's helping us out so we'll all be seated together. That link should be ready in a few days.

We've got 48 seats blocked off in section 105 (just about at the midfield line). If you order tickets for this get together, please PM me so I can keep a tally and adjust the # of tickets blocked if necessary. They're going to hold the ticket block until the end of June.

Let's get a good turnout! I'm looking forward to this event and hope that it's something we can turn into an annual thing!
