Wages, no doubt. I'm hopeful that we're at least getting a loan fee, though.

Jimmy is under contract until the summer of 2010. The fact that the club isn't talking about an extension now, two years in advance, means nothing. He says he wants to stay, Roy says he's not selling him, this strikes me as just his agent clamoring for a raise.

I mean, unless you're one of those who takes everything said in the media to mean the opposite, but if we take Jimmy and Roy at face value, there's nothing happening here.

Thank goodness. I was afraid we were going to have too many left-footed players. Now that we're back to TWO I feel much better.

So what are the odds of Bouazza being the next player out the door?

Fictional left wingers are overrated, but the club could stand to bring in another "wrong-footed" player...and my favorite muppets are Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Statler & Waldorf.

He's staying apparently, so far offers for Bouazza have been rejected.

So Andy Johnson. AJ wants to be here, right? So he'll be here, right? I'm a bit impatient as well as looking forward to him in his A. JOHNSON jersey next season. At one point this season, he must be on the field with Eddie.

No way, if we're going fictional, FFC should sign Luis Fernandez of Trinidad. He was excellent in Paris! Make it happen Roy! Even if you have to buy Robert Hatch and John Colby, too.

Jesus fucking Obama our medicals must be the harshest in the history of medicals. Maybe we should look at our past judgements and realize that we don't need to make another mistake because we found something wrong in the medical.

Unless, of course, your name is Lee Cook or Hameur Bouazza. For the price we're paying, it's definitely worthwhile to make sure F5 is in good condition. If we can get Everton to knock a few million off the transfer fee, great, there's another player we can buy. Everton did the same thing when they signed Lescott from Wolves, and they saved some money too...so it would be silly of them to complain about this.

If Everton don't agree though, then we're screwed. We did the same thing with John Carew,Jan Koller etc. You know who we signed instead of those 2? Steve Marlet.

And we did the same with Claudio Reyna and he's been injured on and off for years. Money is not unlimited, I have no problem with the club making sure it's spent on healthy players.
