these threads all get out of hand. Check previous years. Last year I went on a boycott until we actually signed/sold somebody. The thread still got into the 800s before any action happened.

Oops; I just violated the gag order.

On the plus side, FFC24 and Lyle get to argue with each other without any blood being spilled.

I was actually going to mention O'Hara, but seeing that he just signed a contract put me off from mentioning him. I love the way he plays and I believe he's a left-footer. It would be a brilliant signing.

Yeah, I was just going to mention that he's a lefty as well. It would be a great signing.

I don't like the fact that it's a loan deal. I hope it's with a view to sign permanately.

Appearently we're after George Boateng. Decent player, but a bit old. Could probably do the job for us this season.

Rosenborg's web site is confirming that Fulham representatives are meeting with them regarding Fredrik Stoor. Sounds like this should be happening soon.

Two unsourced (as of yet; trying to find sources) things I read last night:

    1) We may be interested (again) in Oguchi Onyewu.
    2) If MLS and Toronto and Chicago can't work out a deal to trade Brian McBride's rights to Chicago (apparently held up over Toronto's high asking price), McBride could wind up coming back to Fulham.

I'll admit that I haven't seen Standard play this season, but they had an incredible defensive record, conceding only 19 goals all year. I think Onyewu played every game for them, so he certainly played a big part of that. Granted its just Belgium, but conceding a goal every two games is impressive no matter where you are.

Stephen Kelly is not someone I am too keen on getting. He is a decent player but from his time with both Spurs and Birmingham City he has never been all that impressive to me. I think there are better options out there for us.

Saw quite a bit of Fredrik Stoor during Euro 2008 (I was rooting on Sweden during the competition), and was pretty impressed by his work in the back. I think we'd do quite well to get the guy, he could be a solid addition like Hangeland, a fellow Scandi defender.

Also, what are the updates on Bouazza? He's been rumored to be on the out for a while now.

Wasn't he loaned out last season by West Ham?

Eh. I've seen him play a few times and haven't been too impressed, but that was usually him coming off the bench to provide some late fresh legs. Could be worse I guess, depends on how much they would be willing to let him go for. Even a mediocre player wouldn't be a bad idea if he is free or on the cheap.

    Re: Summer 2008 In's and Out's

Hughes hopefully will be a backup this season, I agree.

Healy should never start, but if he's on the team he won't be the player to cause a problem. So okay to sell, okay to keep in my book.

I think we can do better than Stalteri. He's just okay and was adequate for Fulham, but there are more promising RBs to be had than him. I tend to think people are over rating him a bit, just because we survived while he was playing.

    RE: Re: Summer 2008 In

With the Stoor speculation swirling, Roy thinks FFC can do better than Stalteri at right back as well. I like Stalteri, but only as a sqaud player or fighting for his minutes.
