I have to assume Roy wouldn't sell him unless he had another left back lined up.

All the same, I can understand your fear about the loss of one of your bald brothers.

The rumor mill is heating up, but can't imagine there is any validity at that price.

Not that I find this rumor to be valid but the price seems about right for someone we payed 2 million for. He had a good but not great year so a small increase doesn't seem out of line.

Although I am hoping for some good transfers to come in, I have a feeling it's going to be a quiet transfer season for us Cottagers.

I'm still a bit worried about the front and back, though. And that may keep me up at night come the season. We won't know really until we see the first few games.

Siminuc is replacing Konchesky. I have no clue why people assume he's coming here to play CB. Siminuc is almost a full-time left back. The only reason why he isn't playing LB for Croatia is because dude likes attacking full-backs and Pranicic made a name for himself in the qualifiers.

I doubt he comes in to play left-back for Fulham. He's too slow to be in that position in the EPL. At Hertha BSC he played as a Centre Back.

We've been linked to Paul Robinson, a LB at West Brom, as well.

He plays at LB for Hertha most of the time. He used to ALWAYS play at LB for Croatia as well. Only recently has he switched positions and it wasn't because he was slow. It was because of the change of tactics.

Actually, I think it's the other way around. We'll see though.

Per football-lineups.com he has played almost exclusively as a center back for the last three seasons (though I'm not sure whether that's perhaps as the "left back" of a three man back line, in which case he isn't really a left back). Over that period, when Hertha has used a true left back, it has almost always been Malik Fathi. See Hertha 2007-08 for example.

As I said, maybe you're thinking of him playing on the left of a three man back line, which it seems they used a bit less than half of the time.

And I remember Boca being a holding midfielder. Versatility lads!

Oh, and did anyone discuss this Egyptian bloke turing us down? Everyone should marvel at the article's total bias. Its almost propaganda.

What a waste of wages. For one thing, he's old and another thing is that he is WAY too inconsistent.
