Sounds like Rafa is busy inflating the price of any player Aston Villa have an interest in to try to get O'Neill to cut the fee on Barry. £15 million? He's going to end up selling him for much less than that or risk losing him on a free.

It'll be interesting to see what Liverpool do when they finally get the man Gerrard wants them to bring in. Might be an opportunity to bring in a quality player as Gilette and Hicks seek to get some of the money/wages expended on Barry back (Finnan anyone?).

Season tickets are flooding in and we are deffo going to announce record sales,talk of possibly 16000 being achieved.

We have enquired about Simic(spelling)but have to wait a further week for progress

We have also talked to Lilian Thurams people but haven't been told the progress yet.

Roy has given the names of 3 strikers to the board which is being kept as closely guarded secret but MAF has sanctioned a huge fee if needed to capture a star in the making, we could get a nice surprise apparently.

Boca has spoken to Rennes and PSG in France but may go back to the MLS.

Ian Pearce could be joining Brighton after his release

Timlin joining Swindon Town though Brentford enquired but apparently couldn't afford his wages.

Interesting note about the strikers. Sounds like Roy may be going for one big signing.

 

Sweet. If Barra Boy got an accurate source, then we can bring in a striker with great upside lacking the kind of risk factors associated with forwards in that £5 or 6 million range.

that would explain him saving funds with all the free's we have gotten. glad to see Boca in the French League. There is a lot of good football played over there that no one knows about because it doesn't get the exposure. I'm sad about Volzy but look forward to having another club to support wherever he goes. How bout MLS? Don't think he'd do it but would love to see the German over here in the States.

I refuse to believe any rumor that has no evidence to back it up. Unless there is a quote from a manager, player, or (occasionally) an agent, this pretty much describes most of them.

 

$25M isn't that much at all once you convert it into pounds.
