I love the cross-section of Euro players linked to FFC. This is the time where Woy's contacts will bear fruit...at least I'm hoping.

From what I've read, FFC should up their bid for the Galatasaray mid as he'd be a quality addition and he's valued at "only" 4-5m pounds.

I'll be waiting for Lyle to claim FFC can't afford his wages... :).

Roy is going after the exact kind of players I've been saying we should go after. So I don't know what you're talking about.

Only 21 and a regular this past season for the Turkish League champions. 13 appearances for the German U21 team. Not bad credentials for a young guy.

It seems like we're going after really young players in hopes of the future. I like this strategy. The young players we have been linked with can all contribute now and we'll have a much better season next season.

Ozbek has videos on Youtube celebrating him. I know that's nothing to go by, but how many players have a fanbase at the age of 21? He must be good. From what I've read, he's a future German international and if we get him at 5M we committed daylight robbery.

After watching some highlights from Mendy and watching some games from PSG he's not as bad as I thought. In fact, he's quite good. This guy has speed to burn and would be a good addition.

Just giving you some stick, all in good spirits...and as evidenced here, I frequently don't know what I'm talking about as well.

The youthful targets are promising (whether signed or on loan from bigger clubs), let's hope a few of them land at the Cottage.

Gooch,Bresciano,Harewood and Lafferty have all been linked in the last day or so. Of all of them, I LOVE Bresciano and Gooch. Be very happy with those 2. The other 2? Not so much.

I don't know how GOOD a Gooch - Hangman pairing would be, but they certainly would be intimidating.

Gooch has a bit more pace than Brede, and you would think we'd be a little more imposing on corners -- both defending and attacking. I've heard nothing but good about the Aussie [do I detect a trend?], but I'm with 24 concerning the Niron striker. I'm kind of thinking that for 08-09 we might feature a Cousin/Nevland strike pair with EJ/Kamara[or Healy if Joe really wants to leave] in reserve.

word is that Rangers have competition for Davis now...Newcastle, Boro, and Blackburn. That's good news for us cuz it will drive up the price to aquire him.

I'm a little leary of Gooch after his time at Newcastle, but he and Hangy would be quite the imposing pair.

Speaking of Toon, rumors are they want Jozy and Bradley. WTF?!! Don't they know that all good Americans go to Fulham??

Another thought: with Chelski in disarray, is there anyone we can poach on the selling point that they wouldn't even have to move? Anelka? Wright Phillips? Probably high transfer fees, but MAF could pay them in silk hankies from Harrod's to wipe away John Terry's tears.

b.c. on the one hand, I'd hate for Jozy to go anywhere else but here, but don't you think Keegan might know a little about striking? He could learn a little there, I would think.

As for Bradley, if we can't get him, speaking as a fan of the USMNT I'd like to see what Mark Hughes could do with him. Bradley's tough take-no-quarter attitude reminds me a lot of the playing days of the Blackburn gaffer.

I would kind of like a Bikey/Hangeland pairing in the middle if we can get Bikey. He's played all over the world and is only 22/23 years old, I think. Bikey's quickness could make up for Hangelands' lack of it. He's also a little bit taller than Hughes. Apparently he's a good guy. Very passionate. Got red carded for a dumb incident in the African Nations Cup, but it was sort-of understandable.

A youth movement at Fulham would be welcome.

Roy was at the Ireland-Columbia game, supposedly watching the Columbia CB Zapata. Didn't see the game, but does anyone know anything about him?

edit: he plays for Udinese, who Roy managed years ago...

Zapata? Yeah right. This guy is a stud for Udinese and is being linked with the best teams in Europe. I hope we have 10M and 50,000 quid a week for him, if not it isn't happening.

IT appears as the Harewood rumours are getting stronger. This guy is complete shit. At 4M, they'd be robbing us. Let him stay at Villa or leave to another club.

Cisse is wanted by other clubs as well, but this is the player we should go after. If we get him, I'll be happy.

If Harewood had 50% of McBride's heart, then he would be at least a 15 goal per game scorer. He has the skill to score goals and the physical gifts to wear down the defenders he's playing, but he always leaves you thinking he doesn't have the heart for the game.

Saha? Yeah...I'd like to see him back in a white shirt. The age is right and, with the experience of having to work part-time at a Big 4 club, perhaps a greater appreciation of the value of playing regularly is now there as well.

Nice to see Gera on that list. He is a difference-maker to his club. His injury hurt West Brom in their relegation season as much as Bullard's damaged us this past year.

Anelka is intriguing. SWP is good but given that our team MVP from this past season plays the same position as he does, it doesn't seem like where we should be spending our transfer budget.

15 goals per game? We'd win a lot of games, that's for sure.

Seems that every promising young player has reports linking him with some huge club, but they most of them never end up going anywhere. I'm not holding my breath or anything, but just because tribalfootball says Rafa Benitez glanced at a player doesn't mean that player is automatically going to a huge club.

Harewood isn't coming (thank god). I refuse to listen to rehashed, unsubstantiated transfer rumors, espcecially when those rumors origninated under different management.
