And that, my friends, is the Catch 22 that we have every season. We can't get the big name players without more money and Europe but we can't get more money and Europe without the big name players.

That is why we need to go for young talent with potential. Spend less on them, let them grow and get you where you want to go and then sell them off.

We USED to do that if I remember correctly.

Just came across this on the BBC's gossip page:

"Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate hopes to agree terms with Dutch club Heerenveen for USA midfielder Michael Bradley. (Daily Mirror)"

Hopefully Bradley will be able to make the jump to the premier league. He possesses a tireless work rate, a good shot and his vision on the ball is improving with every match. Shame he won't be coming to Fulham.

hmmm; I thought Bradley was a lock with Everton, especially after Carsley left.

As for Anelka, let him rot with Chelsea. The man is doing his level best to get his manager fired. I don't want him in the Black and White

Apearently we're in for Jean Calve from Le mans. He's a RB and from what I've seen he's a damn good player. Defensively Le Mans are pretty damn good and that is a good sign. I've also seen him attack well too. He wouldn't be a bad player to sign.

Roy has apparently been asking around at St. Andrews about Sebastian Larsson and Olivier Kapo both of which are quality and can be had at a relatively good price due to Birmingham's relegation.

One rumor that may not hold much water, but is worth noting is Louis Saha is a new target of Roy's. Everyone has seen his lack of playing time due to injuries and the obvious attacking options ahead of him. The transfer fee is rumored to be around 4 million, which if healthy, is a bargain deal for what Saha can provide.

I think that if Roy wants Saha, Roy gets Saha. I think Saha still regrets leaving us for Manure in the middle of the season, I really do believe that. I know he was hell-bent on leaving, but I think that he'd leave after helping us get into Europe rather than just saying fuck you, which is what he did. If we get Saha, we'll score more goals. There is nobody out there at that price who will score us the amount of goals that he will score. Health is an issue, but there even playing 25 games for us, he'll score 15 goals. He's that damn good and now we should take him back.

I want Larsson and Kapo, but Larsson's price is gonna be astronomical, so screw him. Kapo is damn good though and would probably be pretty cheap.

Apparently we've signed Bernard Mendy...anyone know anything about this dude? Also saw someone mention we're linked with Djibril Cisse for £6m, although I don't have a source for either, just the good ole rumor mill.

He plays for PSG and already had a stint in the EPL with Bolton. I'm not too excitied about Mendy signing with us, if he does.

Oh and if Mendy signs, he's our new RB. So say bye to Stalteri and the like that have been linked with us.

    RE: Summer 2008 In

Rangers has made their intent known that they wish to sign Steven Davis to a permanent deal at Ibrox. They will attempt to offer Daniel Cousin, the striker Roy narrowly missed signing this past transfer window, as part of the deal.

Of all the strikers rumored to be in talks with Fulham, (Forssel, Saha, Cisse and Cousin) I sincerely hope it is Saha who signs on the dotted line. He's the only one out of the four who can consistently created chances by himself, only 29 years old (so plenty of years left), most Fulham fans would love to see him back and with his injuries this season Fulham can get him at a decent price (hopefully that doesn't mean he is damaged goods).

Well, THERE is a {non-Seattle} Keller rumor that makes sense.

I would bet JK would expect him to 'player-coach'. On the other hand, it makes a good bargaining tool for Keller with Seattle, doesnt it.

One stop shopping for all of Fulham's ins and outs. Thanks for keeping us up to date - White Noise and AMike. I just wonder what moves are still being planned in the shadows. Ole Roy likes to keep things on the down low.

wow thanks for the exhaustive links mike.

although i still stick by my belief that most rumored transfers don't occur (unless it deals with the superstars). take the schwarzer signing as the latest example -- did anyone see that coming?

and i looove how Woy is going after Ligue1 players. love it!

I can't jump up and down about the possibility of Saha coming back to the Ws. He couldn't play through any injuries to play for one of the top teams in the world, where European football was a given every year. He's 4 yearss older than he was when he played for the Ws, and I'm sure United will ask for a lot of money for an injury prone and somewhat faint-hearted striker. No, thank you.

Also, AMike, thanks for the links. How will I get anything done today.

We were interested in Kapo last summer, weren't we? He was pretty good for Birmingham this year, if I'm not mistaken.

Why would we be interested in Puncheon? He didn't score AT ALL this season. I don't care how good he might be, but if he can't score at that level, then he's not gonna score at this level.
