So the Premier League is considering some rule changes. I’m a bit surprised that they’re considering hockey style penalty boxes. I am curious, though, as to where the players must be during their time-out? How do they stay warm? Are they allowed to converse with the coaches? https://www.90min.com/posts/football-trial-sin-bins-potential-premier-league-integration
Would players simply waste more time to kill off the penalty? I don't currently support this proposal.
Let's refine it a little and make the penalty served starting at the 80 minute mark... Or start at next game if committed after that. Cumulative. Remove the tactical advantage.
I hadn’t thought of the on field players incorporating stall tactics. That would definitely be a detriment. Making the time served occur late is an interesting thought. It could be fun to see both teams potentially drop players and have games end with less than 22 players on the pitch. I’m not sure about transferring penalties to subsequent games though. I have to think about that some more.
