Well I can't let you have the last word no can I? :D

You took the Eich incident at face value and ignored the fact that social norms change.
You don't get the Westboro right because you are attempting to imprint your ideas onto mine.
I'd o back and read the history of the Eisenhower administration and what they did and did not do during the McCarthy era. And I'm not talking revisionist history.
Having a belief and acting on it are two different things.
And I politely ask that you not question why I chose to serve. But I'd go back and read what I wrote. I didn't say I joined to protect rights of expression, only that I'd die defending their right to express themselves.

And finally, I will go back to my original point about freedom of expression. Go into a theater and yell fire. Restrictions are in place for public protection.

    Cheers,

    Steve

Actually, it was my way of celebrating the thread. The last thing I want to see end is this debate. It's vastly entertaining.

Pettyfog- Did you get a chance to watch Smerconish on CNN this morning? There were two guests on that argued your side of the discussion very succinctly and compellingly. If you get a chance, if you didn't see it, google it.

    Cheers,

    Steve
