McBride got a "scruffy" goal off the deep cross from Baird to Healy's head. Nice play by all three guys, even if McBride's poke was awkward.

Ben Sahar for QPR looks dangerous. Cook doesn't look too bad. Baird plays a nice deep ball. Dempsey looks ok. Steven Davis has been hussling. Smertin is solid. Our back four was shaky towards the beginning.

Zat Knight is testing my loyalty to the max. I am actually angry. I don't care if it's a friendly, every game he fucks us over.

Did QPR have their full assortment of players? I sat and watched Celtic tear QPR apart at Loftus Road three weeks ago 5-1 and that was without Nakamura. I know Fulham's still trying to get some cohesiveness and it is preseason but it's a bit of a downer.

The commentators said QPR ran out their best players. Sahar was class, and only 17. Any of the other QPR's strikers might not have finished those chances I think, but Premiership clubs would have scored more than twice today.

McBride had opportunities to score a couple of times, but kicked it right at their keeper.

Papa Bouba was totally at fault for the second goal.

Knight looked to be at fault for the first goal, I'm not sure what he was thinking there. Diop definitely at fault for the second, though LS hinted that he thought a bad pass from Baird had some to do with it...not sure I agree, but I was watching on a very jerky sopcast stream.

Konchesky had a nice cross in the second half that Collins John put a very strong header on...shot went straight at the keeper, but still looked impressive. I'm starting to think that John and Kamara up front might be a good combination if McBride starts to wear down a bit.

Bummer about your sopcast, I've never had it stop or slowdown on me once.

Knight sucks ass. He got schooled a LOT in this match.

Sopcast worked fine for me... although it started off slow, but once it got going it was good. Other computer problems kept me from watching most of the second half. Missed the first goal, but saw the second one.

Sanchez looked real dissapointed after the second goal was conceded. Bouba knew he made a booboo.

Thanks for the heads up on the sopcast. It took a while for me to get it running, but I was able to watch the end of the 2nd half. We'll shake this last preseason stumble and be ready for the opener. We didn't have any injuries to speak of and I'm sure we'll be ready to open the season on the right foot.

Zat Knight is a donkey, a completely usless peice of crap. Two games; the goal against Pompey was his fault and we lost becuase of it, the first QPR goal was his fault and we lost because of it. At least half the games he plays in he costs us a goal. I can't think of anyone else who has big screw ups as consistently as Zat Knight. I hardly ever lash out against any of our players but this guy is pure garbage. I can't believe he still plays for us.

QPR are in the same point in their preseason as us so thats no excuse. I don't buy the result meas nothing line. This game meant a lot to lots of supporters and we got our asses kicked. All credit to QPR, they took full advantage of our incompetence. It was painful losing to them and listening to their supporters shove it in our faces. Straighten it out in a hurry Lawrie or were looking at a four or five goal loss at the Emirates.

Shout out to Zat's brother to kick his ass again and put him on the sideline where he belongs.

Besides the obvious meaninglessness of the game, the silver lining could be the extra motivation for LS to bring in Hyppia (PLEASE).

    Great find, Spencer!

Zat looks lost (surprise, surprise). Diop screwed up, for sure, but I rest some reponsibility on Boca's(?) shoulders. That pass should not have been made in the middle of the back half with that guy running on.

Baird, not Boca, made the pass.

While it is only preseason any loss to a lower level club is NOT good. The preseason has shown me that we still have a major weakness in our defensive back four. Giving up two goals to QPR of all teams is not my idea of a solid unit on defense.

I like the fact that Lawrie is NOT making any excuses about this loss and that he is disappointed. He should be disappointed.

I hope we can sort something out with our defense sooner rather than later. It is NOT the end of the world losing to QPR, but it still makes me believe that work needs to be done in the back. If QPR can score two on us, how many is Arsenal going to score?

I am disappointed in the result, but doom and gloom are hardly showing up on the horizon. Defensively Fulham seems a bit lost. Chemistry needs to be built in the backline and Niemi needs to boss that back line extensively in training and early matches.

LS again proves he is a stand up guy and doesn't make excuses for poor performances. He hasn't hid his ambition to take Fulham to the next level and, IMO, he seems to be the man for the job.

QPR seemed to up for this match more than Fulham as well...

This was the perfect time for an on-form striker to make us look bad. Lawrie was still making up his mind, based on the limited number of subs in this match as compared to the earlier ones, and I think that a couple of players cemented his opinion pro and con.

I don't see any way that Smertin hasn't won a midfield position. It seems clear that all three FulhAmericans are figuring in his planning -- not sure if all or any will start. And I think that Zat has ensconsed himself in the doghouse for next Sunday's opener.

So, in summation, as the kids like to say, I'd say that the result combined with LS's emotional reaction to it will mean that we'll see a different lineup against the Gooners, and that if anyone wants a long run in the starting 11, he'd better play hard and play smart.

    And that's a good thing.
