Tomorrow's the big day...who do you like, Newcastle or Hull? I gotta believe that the Geordies will prevail, given the quality still on their squad and playing at home against West Ham. It'll be a tall order, though not as tall as it would have been if Sir Alex were still in charge, for Hull to win at Old Trafford. Newcastle still have Krul, Cisse, Sissoko and Coloccini, so I have to think they'll somehow find a way to get a result and stay up. Both teams have been dreadful, though, so whoever it is won't be a big surprise. But the Magpies going down would be far bigger news around the planet than Hull being relegated.

Both should lose, which will relegate Hull.

Hull are at home, not at Old Trafford. My bad. Probably will have little effect on the outcome.

Jermaine Beckford single-handedly rendered the League 1 playoff anti-climactic. Preston North End beat Swindon Town 4-0 behind a hat trick from Beckford.

The way that he's been playing, Bolton would be smart to hold on to him but, apparently, they've told him that he's no longer needed.

Oh and Newcastle takes their match 2-0 against West Ham and claim their stay within the Premiership.

Down comes Hull, and it looks like Norwich will be heading straight back up...curse word.

Yeah, but Norwich was the best of the three sides that were relegated in 2014, and they made very few changes to their squad. One change -- Cameron Jerome -- came in very handy today.

By contrast, we played the worst football that season that I'd ever seen in the Premier League barring the woebegone Derby County a few seasons back. We were crapola 20 deep in the squad, and had no hope of coming back up regardless of who we signed.

I'm happy they're going up. The play nice football, and we won't have to face them next season.

Norwich came out guns blazing. Was pulling for 'boro (for me, that's akin to choosing b/w a root canal or a prostate exam) but they were put on the back foot early and couldn't recover.

    Only a few months...COYW!

Jerome and Jermaine Beckford came in handy for their respective sides this week. Would have liked to have seen them in Fulham shirts last season.
