The Daily Mail has Fulham and Spuds interested in 19 year old CB Craig Dawson of Rochdale. Sounds like the club is trying to replicate the good bit of business the Smalling transaction produced.

Re: Dawson, he's got 9 goals in 34 League matches and 10 goals in 37 games in all competitions this season. That's pretty impressive for a CB.

Manager Mick McCarthy has conceded that Wolves have little chance of keeping £6.5m striker Kevin Doyle if they are relegated from the Premier League. Aston Villa, Fulham, Everton and Sunderland are all set to battle to sign the Republic of Ireland international if his side slip into the Championship.

Doyle's a good player. Can hold the ball up and quite lethal in front of goal. More of a guile rather than speed striker, though not slow.

Good assessment, andy, but I'd add HE NEVER QUITS WORKING. This is something that Roy likes in a player.

Roy's actual quote was more along the lines of "if the opportunity were to arise, sure, why not?" than "I really want to go back to Italy", in case anyone was worried.

Kevin-Prince Boateng might be the type of player who could eventually be Murphy's replacement, and Tal Ben-Haim is pretty good too.

Maybe Superhero Niemi wants to come back to London to be the Aussie's backup?

I'd have been happy to get Scharner in the summer of '08, but two years on, I don't think there's much in the tank. It'd be another Franck Queudrue signing.

The Scharner rumor came in early for me this year. I;m not impressed, most of the time I've seen him, he's too far forward, caught out of position, and leaking goals. Aside from that, he's wonderful.

Apparently the Daily Telegraph has linked Hangeland with..........Arsenal. Great, more shit rumours to suffer through and we will probably go through the same thing with Zamora. Hodgson should come out and list both at £20m. That should end this rumour shit.

I think that Zamora's gone before August. If he goes to South Africa with England, he's DEFINITELY gone. The man is not happy playing for Fulham. That much is obvious.

Brede, on the other hand, is going to stay put as long as Roy is in charge.

Well if Zamora is as good as gone then I guess we gotta hope City are interested so we could jack up the price.
