He's right. Scott took over a tough job. A team that had 2 managers earlier in that season, that was already relegated, that had spend large sums of money in the process. And this as his first taste of management. He then lost most of "his" team because of said relegation. He had to nurse the mental fortitude of a team that had been badly bruised. He started slow but things turned around and he got that team up and through the playoffs in a global pandemic, no less. He had the shortest turnaround to a season in history, he had to bed in basically a whole new squad with no time to do so. He had to endure the terrible start that came as a result, and keep spirits high. The team could have very easily caved there and then, but it didn't, they fought, they clawed. Now he has a team that is hard to beat, that is resilient, that is capable of not only beating the teams around them but can go to Everton and win, go to Leicester and win, that can take the game to a Liverpool or Manchester United. I've said it here before and I'll say it again, Scott Parker is a good manager that has a chance of being a great manager and I'm so very happy to have him manning this ship, hopefully for a few more years before the big boys come calling. He deserves so much credit for what has transpired not only this season but over his whole time here as manager. I would run through a wall for that man and I know the players would too. COYW
