    RE: NBC

Gleaned from this website, the USA roster seems to include:

    Freddy Adu
    Jozy Altidore
    Michael Bradley
    Maurice Edu
    Tobin Heath
    Stuart Holden
    Patrick Ianni
    Sacha Kljestan
    Dax McCarty
    Chris Seitz
    Marvell Wynne

    Still no official announcement though.

On the roster for New Zealand: Simon Elliott.

Italy seems to have taken the opposite approach from Brazil and Argentina; their roster includes only one over-age player, and that's Tommasso Rocchi, who's 30 and only has 3 senior caps, all of them fairly recently. Only three players are 23, the rest are younger, only two players besides Rocchi with senior caps (Riccardo Montolivo and Antonio Nocerino with one each) and no household names to someone who doesn't follow Serie A. The most recognizable to us will probably be Giuseppe Rossi.

Holland's is similar; they're in a bit of a tough spot because they've got a great young group of players (Stekelenburg, Heitinga, de Jong, Sneijder, van der Vaart, van Persie, Robben, Huntelaar) all just a bit too old to play in the tournament. Their over-age players are Alkmaar defender Kew Jaliens (not a core player for the national team), Gerald Sibon (34 and never capped), and Roy Makaay (33 and probably his last opportunity to play in a major international tournament). Ibrahim Afellay, the one player for their Euro roster young enough to be selected without being an over-age player, was not.

Rebuilding years for the Azzurri and the Ohranj, I guess.

I believe the US roster is supposed to be announced on Thursday.

I also read that FIFA is requiring clubs to release players under the age of 23 for the Olympics.

Heh... it'll be interesting to see if Robbie Rogers gets the nod at the last minute. Since he's good enough to make the MLS All Star XI.

I think there's an attitude problem involved, here.,... and it aint his!

I didnt realize he was young enough. Who's attitude is a problem, the coaching staff or another player?
