FCD off to another inauspicious 1-1-1 start. I'm hoping that we can have some semblance of a regular starting XI once we get to DCHeather's stomping grounds. Shea will be back after U23 duty. George John is expected to be back full time with Ihemelu to straiten up our back line. Castillo will be back after in injury but it will be interesting to see what they do with him because Brian Leyva has been playing well and they need to bring the youngster along with more starting time. Also interested to see how 19yr old Jonathon Top does this Sunday against ManU's reserve team in this years Dallas Cup SuperGroup (http://www.fcdallas.com/blog/post/2012/ ... as-stadium).

Hhhhh...still no David Ferreira. Now it appears they are doing more x-rays and MRI's because if this achilles issue. I love Villars grit but we NEED our MVP.

We need to get on track quickly and it starts in DCHeather-town. Dallas til I die.

    GO HOOPS!!

Well, Hamid will be out 1 to 3 weeks with a bad ankle, but given the way he played during the tournament we might be better off with him resting for a bit. DC played a bit better on the road against Vancouver, but it's still slow going for United. I going to say this one ends in 1-1 draw tomorrow night.

Wish them the best of luck versus ManU Dallasbill, but I have to mention that our Cleveland Internationals just beat your U18s a week and half ago. Hee hee. And we dont have anything near FC Dallas' resources, facitlities, etc. And the kids who scored the winner is from my neighborhood. Also, will this kid Top be playing? Your link says Dallas' U18 team will be playing ManU

Oh and courtesy of the FC Dallas site, I found out our U16's were victorous too. Cleveland 'til I die!

Sorry DallasBill, but United decided to get more than one goal against FC Dallas last night. De Rosario showed why he was the MVP last year in that game. Hats off to him for leading the team to their first win. :banana-linedance:

Darlington Nagbe, last season's goal of the year recipient, scored two fantastic goals last night. He now has three goals in three games. Despite having lived in the US (specifically Cleveland!!!) since he was 10, I dont believe he can play for the USA. He is getting married to his American college sweetheart in December. I have to assume once married, he can play for the USA. Does anyone know? His coach, John Spencer, has compared him to Landon Donovan. Not sure that's the best comparison but I like it all the same.

Nagbe's a Liberian citizen but from what I've read is working toward getting US citizenship. Not sure how/if the marriage angle works toward eligibility for the USMNT.

Not really, all it gives you is the option to become a citizen, but you have to fill out the paper work in wait in line with everybody else. And it takes awhile.

Oh wait, Wondo scored again (albeit from the spot) but in Seattle and 'Quakes blanked the Sounders away for all three. SJ looking legit thus far.

What an uninspiring effort. I would have loved for the Perez goal to be the last and we could argue the legalities of that one for a 1-1 tie. But 4-1? There are no words. Congrats. Sorry we couldn't give you a better game.

Glad that we got it back together for a game stealer against the Revs but I almost couldn't keep my lunch down watching that DC game.

Yea, Top played and scored 3 of the 4 goals for the team in their 3 games. He's a dynamic player and he'll be getting some first team action soon, I believe.

Looks like Cleveland's got our number with the youngsters.

Are you a Crew fan? If so, I'll circle my calendar for May 12th at your place.

Not a Crew fan. I tried but it didnt stick. Your enemy to south there in Houston is probably my favorite MLS team, but I spend most of my energy following the MLS players that have recently come from our local academy - Darlington Nagbe, Michael Nanchoff, and Chris Korb. I'm also a season ticket holder for the Univ. Of Akron men's soccer team. The local guys need some support is the way I think about it.

Good to hear Top did well and that Dallas appears to be producing a player who knows how to put the ball in the back of the net ala Dempsey. Keep us updated on how he progresses; there are several people on here that are interested in the developing youth players.

I watched some of the KC game and they looked good. Bunbury had a chance for a goal at the end, but as usual, he didn't convert the chance into a goal. He really needs a move somewhere as he doesn't seem to improving his game every year like he should.

Watched that game. KC flat out outplayed LA. I thought these two teams could easily defeat some of the bottom dwellers in Prem right now. Ugh...I really DC could get a stadium like that, what a great atmosphere they have now.

And, yeah, don't think Bunbury is going to get a lot of minutes with Kamara and Sapong ahead of him. He'll need to move on to another team if he's going to improve.

I am beginning to like Sporting KC...what a turnaround for their franchise from the Wizard days. Undefeated so far.

Watched the DC/Revs game...not a very impressive performance from either side, but glad the good guys won. Jeez, those Revs go down easy, nobody touches them and dive to the ground. Ick.

Have to love my lot in life. Fulham has a tendency to give up goals late in matches, and now Portland has lost 3 of it's 4 games in the last 10 minutes.

Another match, another Wondo goal. As was mentioned on another thread, Rafa Marquez is a complete &#^$%. What an asshole. I loathe that guy (look up his red in the '02 WC).
