    One of, if not, the best HatterDon editorials since I've been a member of FUSA. Job well done, sir.

    But, I can't imagine I am the only one who noticed that your message of doom and gloom, or at least passive surrender, to being relegated coincided rather coincidentaly with Brian McBride's warrior call to anyone who is man enough on the squad to join him in a battle to the death. There is no surrender for our FulhAmerican hero.

    And, as great an editorial as you penned my good friend, I am steeling my resolve and joining Brother McBride in a final charge up the hill. As another famous cinema character, The Thing of The Fantastic Four, so eloquently cries into battle, I join McBride and those other Fulham Football faithful in exclaiming, "IT'S CLOBBERIN' TIME!"

    So, the next 11 matches are FFC's own San Juan Hill? I like it as that seemed to work out OK for T. Roosevelt...

    KING HENRY V:

    "This story shall the good man teach his son;
    And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
    From this day to the ending of the world,
    But we in it shall be remember'd;
    We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
    For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
    Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
    This day shall gentle his condition:
    And gentlemen in England now a-bed
    Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
    And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
    That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day." Shakespeare

    Huhuh, you said "hold their manhoods."

    Sorry, that makes me giggle every time.

    I'm not quite so pessimistic, but I'll say this. If Fulham escapes again, as I really expect they will, it will be the last time it happens.

    A team cannot keep it's psychological shape under this pressure every season. It will wear them down and, barring a quick start to the mid-pack in 08/09 -and STAYING THERE- they will sink like a stone.

    I'm predicting 16 points out of the last 11 games. BMcB and I agree that it will be enough

    I had a feeling at the beginning of the year, especially after the Middlesborough game, that Fulham would go down. I still think they might stay up. They're definitely not out of it, but they have to get some luck soon otherwise they will be down weeks before the season ends.
