It looks like a Japanese cartoon character's brand, not a sporting event, what was wrong with the Thames looping through the rings. I'm with Mike, its vile.

Lord Coe was prattling on about reflecting the vibrance of London yesterday, and it being very exciting, more like Technocolor yawn!

It seems to evoke the lack of unity of the old Greater London Council. Was that the aim? If so, it's really rather good. If not, then I defer to Mike. It's UGLY.

It looks a bit like that ZOOM logo on PBS.

From the BBC article - a straw poll with 1478 votes cast so far:
Update: With 9742 vots now cast, the wooden spoon has increased its lead!

As Londonist points out, it looks like two of the numbers are performing oral sex on the other two.

Worst logo I have seen in quite some time. Who could honestly be sitting in a meeting going over designs and pick this one out and say, "yep, I think we've got something here".

"When people see the new brand, we want them to be inspired to make a positive change in their life.

Yeah, they can close their eyes.

The best description I've heard of this logo is Lisa Simpson giving a blowjob! And that's kind...

Muppet? Au contraire, I bet he had bulletproof credentials and University training.

    In fact here's themuppet firm...

And their 'Trendy Page' on it.

Complain to them... but there will be only rebuttal from the OTHER MUPPETS who have the same training and credentials. Check their home link if you dont believe me.

I was in London, when they unveiled this thing. No one likes it, except the people who chose it. I don't even want to know how much they spent on it. They were discussing it on the BBC and had people send in their own ideas. Needless to say, they had some really good ones and it would of cost them next to nothing.

I'm sure the powers that be realize that this new symbol is horrible, but they've spent too much money on it now. Hopefully, this won't be the only thing that is remembered from the 2012 games. It's been hard to forget that awful mascot, we had at the Altanta games. I'm not sure, if i was a bee or what?
