I imagine LS will give both of them a run out and going against sides with slower back lines they could be pretty affective both up top.

I really like the signing of Kamara and losing HH. Not sure if it's an upgrade or not, but the fact is they never won anything here with HH getting playing time, bring in some new blood, see what they can do.

It also never hurts to have some new blood to get rid of the 'losing is acceptable' mentality.

Kamara will add another dimension to our offense that we have been missing for atleast 2 years which is pace and the ability to go out wide thus letting McBride/John go through the middle.

Remember though, he hasn't signed yet but a good addition if he does, IMO.

I believe the deal for Kamara is just down to personal contract terms at this time. Hopefully Fulham doesn't mess this deal up as I believe Kamara to be a quality addition to the side.

A side note...LS' comments in reference to mental toughness were fantastic. You could tell the side lacked it a bit last year, couple that with injuries and Fulham was in for a real relegation fight. LS is bringing in some quality players and he has done a decent job thus far in his first transfer window.

Same linke was posted by Mike, I believe, earlier. Inflation of transfer fees is getting out of hand. That is the trend in modern football...shame.

If we get him, it's a good deal. HH isn't a Prem-quality striker, but I think Kamara may be. Plus, he's just what we need to play off Brian. And, I think he'll gee up CJ. Let's hope so.

Andy, its not 6.5 plus HH and I can confirm its not even 4.0m plus HH. Sky sports is guessing that it is a deal worth a total of 6.5m...LS won't be mugged.

I think the thing that has been overlooked is that we got substantial value for HH--possibly up to 2.5m off the cost of Kamara. HH is clearly not a Premiership quality striker, so he was of no use to us. Good work LS.

As to Kamara's quality--I don't know. I'm willing to believe he's be a good player for us. I've read that he has speed, which as much as I like BMB, he didn't have that much speed, and we need speed.

The key thing is that we need players. We let a lot of guys go after last year. They may not have been really good players, but they still helped us field a team. So, at this point, if LS is willing to go along with a signing, I'm considering it a good signing.

As to the high prices this off-season, well, there's a lot more money in the game, so it doesn't bother me. I'd love to get really good players for a million pounds, but that's not reality. MAF seems to be giving LS some money, as he needed to, and he seems to be getting good players with it. If we can get Davis early next week, him, Kamara, and Hughes would be a good start to the signing season and will show players and agents we're serious.

Only six weeks until Opening Day. I'm looking forward to it--Saturday morning isn't the same w/o Fulham.

I second this. I miss watching and following Fulham on Saturday mornings. Copa America, the Gold Cup, MLS and the Under-20 World Cup are all nice and fun to watch, but nothning compares to watching Fulham in the Premiership.

If Kamara plays on the wing then he will be a waste of talent. He needs to play the Henry role which is dropping out to the wing and creating chances. I think he can be a star in this league if he plays this role. He has shown his talent on the CCC stage and at times on the international stage. He needs to be more consistent, but if he plays that forward role he will be more consistent and will be a quality player.

I doubt Kamara will take the league by storm, but he will definitely make th eattack at Fulham far more potent. Great comments above and especially the one concerning getting a great price for Helguson. That point was overlooked and for not having much to any experience in the transfer market LS has done quite well.

Roll on days, weeks and months...can't wait for Fulham's season to kickoff.

Kamara is better than people say. He has lots of talent and I think that the CCC was what he needed and now he has the confidence to do good as long as he is played in the right position.

Good that Kamara signed. Hopefully he'll play like he did this past season.

Sky Sports has just reported that Kamara has just agreed terms and underwent a medical yesterday.

Its a 4 year deal and pretty much done and dusted.

Welcome to Fulham Diomansy, we need some goals and I have faith you can provide. COYW's

(Post number 854 for the second signing of the season)

Great news and I hope he can net at least 10 goals...hoping for 15 though. His pace is needed and hope Davis is signed sometime next week.

    Up the Fulham...

Primus is not bad. Pending on his price tag, he would not be a bad signing. He has experience in the back and is a solid defender.

Agree with Tom that his price tag would probably be the most limiting factor. Primus is a solid defender and did a good job for Pompey last season. Does well at winning the ball and you can't teach size, but if Fulham wasn't willing to fork over the money for an aging Hyppia, a better defender IMO, than I doubt they will do so for an aging Primus either.
