I just wanted to be the 700th post (hope nobody beats me to it). Let's add a new selection on the poll...A Warm Body, preferably before the Winter Window

7-0-1 and no signings; I'm gone until 800, unless I'm summoned again.

    Don't bother, T_of_M

IIRC this was a loan deal, so his current club would have been paying some of the wages, but that does seem incredibly low. He could probably make that much in MLS!

That may be what you'd prefer, but it doesn't seem to be either what the players we've got on books are suited to, or the style LS is inclined to play.

Fulham would be a far more dangerous side in attack if the wings ran at defenders and add some pressure. If McBride and Helguson are what Fulham are relying on keeping them up this season there could be a bit of a goal draught from time to time.

Understand your view and tend to agree that he might not suit the style, but at least Ki-Hyeon would add another element to attack.

    On a side not...

The new and improved Bayern continues to add players...Luca Toni, Frank Ribery and now Miroslav Klose. Should be an exciting Bundesliga season.

I don't like what I'm hearing/reading on this board and elsewhere. It seems like everyone this side of Pele has been rumored to a Fulham move and yet...

But I promised myself I would be patient until July. I'm going on vacation next week, and if they still haven't signed anyone by the time I get back, I'll be due for a freakout.

I read that at the FFC forum. People there seemed to think it true. And he did have the knee problem at Villa.

So it isn't reliable, but it would make sense if the reports that he was about to sign after his medical were in fact true.

Alternatively... maybe they're holding announcing his signing until they have a bigger name to announce first.

I believe LS is being patient and playing hardball. If we look too desperate and rush things (ala Wigan) we will be paying over the top for players who simply aren't worth it.

Maybe its just wishful thinking but come September, I hope we have the squad we need to stay up. Come on Lawrie.

Again, I am using an un-reliable FFC forum poster... but someone there said that a Motspur Park source has said he actually has agreed to an offer and will sign next week contrary to this report.

Just yesterday Sky reported Sven Goran Ericksson might not be going to Man City and now he is going there today.

British reporters report everything I think.

Hopefully it isn't true. Fulham needs some spunk on offensive.

With all the talent Bayern is bringing in, I think they might run away with it. Adding Klose and Toni to Makaay, Podolski and Santa Cruz? DAMN.

If the board does not pay these players what they want then it is likely that this club will spin all the way down the leagues. I mean I would understand if these players wanted like 35K or more, but from every report that is out there they want 10K less than that or maybe a little more and Fulham still refuses to pay. Seriously the EPL is a big business with loads of money and we need to compete and stop trying to bring in players because they will take the minimum salary.

With the new television deal in place there shouldn't be an issue with funds available. I realize that Fulham shouldn't break the bank on players, but there shouldn't be this many discrpancies over wages. Again, LS hasn't gone out of his way to talk about his targets and that is frustrating to fans...could work out for the best though.

Whomever coined the phrase "no news is good news" definately was not a FFC supporter. There are only 46 days to Arsenal and still no signings.......

As Team of McBride's was referring to above, Fulham should NOT be having the wage problems that are rumoured to be hanging up some potential deals for new players. While Fulham is NOT going to be the biggest spenders, we have to make sure we at least pay our players Premiership wages or the club will be seen as a joke by players and agents around Europe.

There is a new TV deal and Fulham must understand that you get what you pay for. If you do NOT want to pay for players and their wage demands in this understandably inflated market, you must deal with the consequences and unfortunately those consequences are RELEGATION.

What is bizarre is that all other Premiership clubs are working in the same inflated market. I have read others rip on Wigan for paying over the odds for certain players this summer, but if it keeps the team safe from the drop it was money well spent. We should be able to compete with clubs like Wigan, Blackburn, Reading, Sunderland and Derby, but we seemingly can't match the wage demands these clubs are offering or we are simply not interested in the same players.

I remain patient, but there are signs out there that Lawrie Sanchez is NOT being given the financial backing needed to overhaul this team as has been talked about since the season ended. I fear we are going to have more of the same in the transfer market and that will lead to another relegation battle next season.

Fulham needs to change the culture of the club. Not charma chameleon style, but in order to change the culture and adapt a new winning mentality, you must bring in some new, strong players. In order to do that you MUST spend some money. If you do not spend money you are asking for trouble. I hope things change between now and August 11th or it could be a long and disappointing season.

Don't rate any of the Sun's reports. Often false and the poorest of poor concerning journalism.

Tom...once again you are spot on and my vote for club chairman.

Well taken. That would be my first game in 2 years. I plan on making it out for Blackburn during Thanksgiving. Funny how I always choose Thanksgiving to go to the UK! And to contribute to the rumor mill............

Fulham made a £4.5m offer for West Brom's Diomansy Kamara after Heidar Helguson snubbed a swap deal. (Daily Mirror)

The Mirror....BLAH! Helguson needs to remember where he came from and GO BACK. If that deal fell through because he wouldn't agree to a swap, just wow. I've almost punched my computer screen playing Football Manager when a player would not agree to a swap deal which would cause me to miss out on a decent signing.

Fulham are ready to battle with Reading to sign Didier Digard. (Daily Express)

I don't know anything about this guy. Mike/Tom any info?

    From Barra Boy - TFI:

I would be more than happy with this if all three came. The Jason Roberts deal would be an added bonus, IMO.

Jason Roberts? That is the first I've heard his name mentioned in the same sentence with Fulham. When did Fulham start looking in his direction?

Barra corrected himself a bit after that to say he meant Hughes, not Baird.
