    RE: Will Don Respond?

I like Rosenior, but I am not one of those who thinks he is a future England International. He shows some signs of brilliance but on the other hand his passing is sometimes very suspect.

All that being said, I would NOT be opposed to bringing James Morrison in. I think Moritz Volz is an adequate right back and when playing every game I think he will regain the form he had two and three seasons ago.

I doubt this will happen, but you never know. Fulham would be wise to at least explore this.

    Talk about a double whammy:

Not only are Brum City dropping their interest in the one guy (imo) we should get rid of right this moment, but they're also going after the one guy we coveted for a long time.

kr; after watching Gooch this whole Gold Cup (I can't believe I'm actually writing this) I'd rather have Zat than him. Gooch looks totally inept to me and I think his staredown of Borget led to hype that he can't back up.

    Will Don Respond?

    The OLD man?

Responded only because my name was in the subject line. Have I been lurking? Yes, but I only click in when I see a new post from Mike. I think I abandoned the thread when we were up to 400 or 450 posts without a glimmer of a signing. Well, it's up to 643 now, and I'm outta here!

    The OLD man? :coffee:

Just winding you up Don. Cast the bait out there and lured you in.

Don, who do you believe the first signing to be...Hughes?

Ki-Hyeon and Dempsey playing together would be nice.

About Onyewu. A problem he has is that he's so big and physical he draws fouls easily. The smaller guy can just fall over and the ref is going to be like... foul! Bruce Arena rated/s him the best U.S. CB. He looked out of sorts with Newcastle. I don't think he's been that bad at the Gold Cup. He obviously looked good at Standard. I hope somebody in England picks him up though so we can find out the truth about him.

Where will Beasley go is what I want to know.

Rumor has been Rangers, but if he thinks he's getting roughed up in the Gold Cup, just wait until he gets to the SPL.

Scottish league football is brutal. It is a miracle Nakamura has survived. I find Beasley and Nakamura comparable in playing styles, but most assuredly not quality or skill. Nakamura is a class above Beasley and it will be quite difficult for him not to pick up a serious knock or injury in the SPL.

Hope he can catch on somewhere else...Rangers did work for Reyna though.

Latest news...Pandiani rejects signing with Fulham (YESSSSSS) and Ki-Hyeon of Reading is set to sign to Fulham for the small fee of 1 million. I love bargain shopping.

Look up a few post ToC. SK will be a hit as I said yesterday. He is the only person I have been excited about coming to fulham in the last 3 years. (Besides poor montella) anyone you can say that about for the past 3-4 years :) oh wait we haven't got an awsome player in ages!!!!! Ok I'm back lerking with Don. You all go about speculating and increasing your post count.

A bit of disappointment mixed with a smidge of resentment in that post Jacob. I completely agree about Ki-Hyeon. He is the player I am most excited that about that Fulham as been linked with thus far. He is the complete package and would do a fine job for Fulham...

    Side note...

Found this little bit on a football website: DaMarcus Beasley will become a Rangers player on Monday after a £700,000 transfer was finalised with PSV.

You have got to be kidding me. That transfer fee is next to nothing. Are clubs in England seeing something we all aren't? He is continuing to improve and get back to the form that he had back in 2004/05 at PSV. He's earned to penalties, bagged a few goals and had a few assists this Gold Cup. Granted it is against less skilled players, but he is still getting minutes and improving.

Just baffles me. I'll be swearing like a sailor if the EPL misses out on the Beas.

Sorry about that. I had a few pints and when I log into anything fulham at the moment the resentment sets in. Not to take it out on you. I'm just a slightly frustrated Fulham supporter at the moment. I'm going to go back to hiding in the shadows until I get really excited..... (doesn't take much)

Now worries Jacob. When you make it to Fulham I'll buy you a pint and hopefully your mood will change for the better. Why? Because it will be in a pub getting ready for the White to get three points that afternoon. All the best Jacob.

I think this goes back a few years, US played Scotland at Hampden while Walter Smith was national team manager. Beasly was at his best that day, best player on the pitch by miles. That was right before his injury and I'm afraid he has yet to regain that form(we can only hope that he will). Anyhow I'm sure Walter Smith has that preformance at the back of his mind, he knows what he can do, 700,000 could be a real steal.

IMO that is a phenominal steal for Beasley. I would think he is worth about 2 million quid, but I am sure many would disagree. He is a diamond in the rough right now, because of his injury many believe he won't regain his form. I like to be eternally optimistic.

His original transfer to PSV cost nearly $2.5 million and that was due to his agent waiting so long to get a deal done. There was Spanhish and Italian interest in him as well with the transfer fee being much higher. Again, Chicago and his agent took to long and PSV swooped in for him.

I know we are all focused on who Fulham is going to bring in to strengthen the squad, but there are also a few who are on their way out.

Earlier today I read that Everton will attempt to sign Papa Bouba Diop. Would be a huge gap in the Fulham squad if he was to leave. I doubt there is much in it. I thought I would mention it and see if anyone else has read similar reports.

Fulham and Blackburn are battling it out to sign Espanyol defender Juan Velasco. (Sunday Mirror)

Does anybody have insight on this RB? And I hope Everton doesn't swoop Diop!

I've thought the same thing myself. He drew the penalty cause the Scots were too slow to deal with him. I think he's just about regained his form though... he's been great during the Gold Cup.

Don't think a journeyman right back is the answer to Fulham's woes in defense. The right back position is fairly deep.

    Lets ink Hughes already.

I am not one of those Fulham supporters who think every American player should be coming to Fulham, but if Rangers are paying 700,000 pounds for Beasley, we could have and should have trumped that for the left winger we need. He may not light the league on fire, but he would surely have filled a need at a very low price.
