I like these signings we are trying to make.I love the Healy deal. He is quality and he will have his best chance to show this under the management of LS like he has done with his country. I think Hughes is a RB so if we sign him then I would like us to put Volz and John in the deal for Koumas and Kamara. Those players have improved alot since they went down to the Championship and remember Kamara was compared to Henry when he moved here and after that ANC 2004 performance.

I don't want to see Volzy going anywhere. Hughes is a CB. I don't think LS would really want to add anymore depth to that spot.

The deals for Heally and Hughes should go through by next week. Hopefully Fulham can bag Koumas and Kamara as well. Those four signings would be fantastic and I would be on cloud nine.

Volz is rubbish defensively though and Rosenior has that RB spot on lockdown so why not let Volz go for players that can help us win and probably start? We also have Omozusi at RB so even if we let Volz go then we will have depth at that position.

I am just not convinced that Volzy leaving would be a wise decision. He can play every defensive position and is also a utility player in the sense that he can play in the midfield as well. His tireless work rate continues to pay dividends.

IMO, it would be wise for him to stay.

Haha...am I that transparent. He is a solid player and it would be a shame to see him go.

Great website though. Anyone who hasn't gave it a look better take a minute and look at the marvel that is Voly's website.

Latest transfer rumours linking us to two strikers, on new to my knowledge, and Volzy's vacation in Miami...

Fulham have made the first firm bid for West Ham striker Marlon Harewood, who has been told he can leave. (The People)

Everton have joined Fulham, Blackburn and Middlesbrough in the battle for West Ham striker Bobby Zamora. (News of the World)

Fulham defender Moritz Volz's holiday in Miami has been hit by toilet problems. He said: "The hotel toilet would not stop flushing and flooded the bathroom. Luckily, no solid waste was involved but after a long flight the last thing I wanted was to change rooms in my pyjamas. Then it got worse when the toilet in the new room made siren noises that were louder than the local fire engines."

Great to read that we have finally put in a bid for players other than the ones that have already been mentioned a hundred times. Harewood has great size, but doesn't always use it that well. IMHO Fulham should probably pass on Harewood and concentrate on Kamara and Healy as new members of the Fulham attack.

Can't help but think Zamora will be out of Fulham's price range. With Everton, Blackburn and Middlesborough all interested in his services the price will go through the roof. Doubt West Ham will be so eager to part with him as well. He has saved them more than a handful of times with his timely goals.

I doubt Volz is going anywhere since he's young and cheap, and a fan favorite. Provides good cover.

All sources say that Hughes will sign for Fulham this week for between 1-2 million which is fantastic. With Hughes on his way in Knight is on his way out from reports linking him with Birmingham. Apparently Fulham is hoping to cash in on Knight to the tune of about 2 million. In his sale alone Fulham should be able to sign Hughes and Heally.

Mido's name has been thrown around once again and I'm not too pleased. I have no doubt he can score goals, but he is a prick in its truest form. Not worth 4 million IMO either.

On the EPL front, an anglo-yank looks to make his mark in England by purchasing Blackburn Rovers. Daniel Williams looks to splash 67 million to become the new owner of Blackburn and propel them higher in the EPL. So Aston Villa, Man Utd, Liverpool and now Blackburn all owned by yanks.

    Interesting rumour going around today...

Birmingham have dropped their interest in Fulham's Zat Knight to chase Oguchi Onyewu from Standard Liege - and they also want Cardiff winger Joe Ledley. (Daily Mail)

Great to see Gooch gaining some interest in England once again, but he didn't have to throw a wrench into the sale of Knight.

Found this article on Sky Sports website. LS wants to bring in 6-7 new players this season  . If that is the case he better find his pen.

Great to see him have high expectations as well. COYW.

"If you want to win, you have to pay up to £100,000 a week to a player who can hardly read or write and he earns four or five million pounds. It's crazy."
    -- MAF

It is crazy, but, have Fulham been waiting for prospective players' exam results prior to finalizing any deals? Maybe MAF will pay £100,000 a week to a player who can read and write at grade level? How about signing a player who can play CB and/or deliver a sublime cross, instead, of looking for the next Orwell or Steinbeck? COYW - sooner rather than later!!

It sounds like he's trying to "walk the walk", but the selling teams ain't playing the low-ball game.

Can't blame Birmingham for not willing to shell out a couple mill for Zat when Gooch is comparable in ability for a fraction of the cost. If he does go there, I hope for the USMNT interests that there is coaching there that can polish his skills.

Any predictions on when we'll actually make our first signing and how many players we'll end up bringing in?

I say the first signing will be next Tuesday, and we'll bring in three players.
Hope its more cause three is not enough, but thats my prediction.

Ronaldo...an emphatic no...Terry has heart but can't get past him being a blue and Gilardino would be nice but don't rate him all that much. Sorry to completely torch those guys, but not any of my favorites.

I predict 5 signings and probably an equal amount of players leaving. I am hoping by the end of the week to have Hughes in and Healy in about two weeks. Beyond that I don't have much faith in the players Fulham has been rumoured to be in for.

Nev...if Fayed is holding out for a genius that is class at football we will probably be waiting a long time. An NFL example if you will. I am a Bears fan afterall and they drafted Craig Krentzel...now he was graduated with degree in Molecular Engineering. Brilliant individual, but a s*&% football player.
