Those Pandiani and Koumas/Kamara deals are awful. (Well, the Koumas/Kamara rumor is awful, the potential Pandiani signing is just garden-variety bad budget management.) Aaron Hughes for £1M sounds fine though.

Koumas and Kamara would be fantastic signings from WBA, but their asking prices are ridiculous. Not sure If I am willing to part with Volz either.

Hughes for 1 million...sign him up.

How do you make the quid symbol? (I am tecnologically challenged)

According to Goal.com, AC Milan have offered 100 million euros for Ronaldinho. If it goes through, Milan won't need two #10s. Maybe we can take that cast off Kaka on loan. He won't even need to change kits.

Why am I seeing rumors of Freddy Eastwood going to Wolves for £1.25m? He's also being linked with Norwich City. I was hoping we would sign him in January...surprised no Premiership clubs appear to be interested.

Probably bullshit. Ronaldinho isn't going anywhere.

(Though, to play devil's advocate, that's a LOT of money.)

For a fee that small, Fulham should take a chance on this kid. He showed last season he could score in the Championship and we know he is accustomed to the English game as well. This is chump change for a potential scorer. I am not saying he would light up the Premiership, but I do think he could contribute to the team and bring energy and youth to the side. I say we go for him.

One last thing.......where are the new defenders?

Posted yesterday about Hughes who should sign to Fulham next week for around 1 million. Should be a quality signing especially at that price.

Eastwood for that amount would definitely be well worth it. Not many players will set the prem alight, but who can Fulham really afford at this time with a transfer kitty of 10 million who can take the prem by storm.

There are some young and fairly promising targets Fulham could sign at this time. Would like to see a greater sense of urgency from Fulham in the transfer market at this time. Better sooner than later.

sigh; 550 and still no signings; I'm off this thread for good.

Sticking around the site though; signing off didn't change the luck and I missed some good and weird posts.

Keep the faith Don. Hughes will probably sign next week and then Healy in about three. Those are almost guaranteed signings, plus you have to keep up on the Koumas and Kamara saga.

Pandiani was a complete flop with Brum City. Why we're wasting our time with this guy is beyond me.

Meanwhile, Wigan, our potential rivals, are signing players left and right. Granted, one of those players was Titus Bramble, but they're still trying to improve their team little by little

Fulham seems to be lagging a bit in the transfer market, but I believe at least two signings will be made next week. Just a feeling...

Just looking at the recent transfers around the prem and wanted to do a quick review. Not meaning to dampen anyones day, but just going to look at what some sides within our striking distance are doing to improve their squad. (Within Fulham's striking distance if Fulham gains some consistency)

    Newcastle
    In: Barton, Viduka,
    Out: Parker, Bramble, Sibierski

    Man City
    In: nobody
    Out: Barton, Distin

    Middlesborough
In: Aliadiere, Woodgate (signed a while ago)
    Out: Viduka, Xavier, Parnaby

    Portsmouth
    In: Distin, Hreidarsson, Muntari
    Out: nobody

    Reading
    In: Bikey, Kalifa Cisse
    Out: Halford, Sidwell

    West Ham
    In: Parker
    Out: Mascherano

    Wigan
    In: Bramble, Melchiot, Sibierski
    Out: Jackson

    Everton
    In: nobody
    Out: nobody

    Bolton
    In: Cid, Harsanyi, McCann, Samuel
    Out: Tel Ben Haim

    Aston Villa
    In: nobody
    Out: Angel, McCann, Samuel

    Blackburn
    In: nobody
    Out: nobody

    Birmingham City
    In: Muamba, Parnaby
    Out: nobody

    Derby
    In: nobody
    Out: nobody

    Sunderland
    In: Halford
    Out: nobody

So after taking a look at some transfers we are obviously behind compared to a few sides, but some have failed to do much of anything.

    Any Thoughts?

Wolves are building a young squad to make a push into the Premiership. They have some young guys like Kightly who are up and comers. There is a lot of potential at the Wolves right now. A good club to sign on with.

Plus... Eastwood is really a League One (Southend went up and righ back down) guy and going to Wolverhampton is a safe step upwards for him I think. I also read that Wolverhampton are trying to bring in Billy Sharp from Scunthrope.

I haven't heard a single person on this forum or otherwise support the signing of Pandiani...please please don't let him come to Fulham.

Pandiani doesn't do it for me either, but beggers can't really be choosers. And if he turns in a season at Fulham like he had this past year for Espanyol... it'll have been a good deal.

Now these are the headlines that I like to read... "Fulham are set to sign Aston Villa defender Aaron Hughes and Leeds striker David Healey for £1m apiece." (Mail)

Fulham appear to be on the verge of signing two solid players for reasonable prices. I'm hoping this is true, but then again that is why they call them rumours.

Another interesting tid bit of information... Jean Tigana seems to be an option for the new Man City job. Bit of a twist on things there.

These are good depth pickups. Hughes and Healy could both end up starters. Hughes is a better option than Ian Pearce I think. Healy seems to know how to score and can either replace or spell McBride.
