The thing is, these prices are so ridiculously inflated and we don't want to play the game. I think the prices will dwindle as the summer goes on but with the new TV deal, every selling club feels they have a right to demand more.

Lets hop LS has a game plan to combat the inflation!

Haha, not willing to give the big man another chance? Most aren't and it doesn't bother me if he leaves, just at the right price.

Have the papers mentioned the transfer fee?

On the price of transfers and players going up...it is a continuing trend that will surely sort out the haves from the have nots. Fayed is going to need to give LS the funds Fulham needs or relegation may loom. There will never be a salary cap to combat the continually rising prices so what can you do...

Intentionally stayed away from the computer all weekend, then threw in Monday just to be safe...logged on to see some good news.....sigh

This reminds me of the real estate market out here a few years ago, a rinky-dink 2 bedroom shack in a bad neighborhood was going for obscene prices. If your selling, your loving it right now. However, something has to give on both sides of the ledger (the selling teams need the $$ obviously) and for a bunch of clubs not just FFC. All its going to take is a single domino...

Steve B on TFI says that the players we offered were Zakuani and Runstrom, and that he thinks LS will make another offer tomorrow.

    Maybe Helguson and Knight instead?

    I'd be fine with that.

I think Knight needs to go, but not in this deal. If Birmingham is willing to shell out 2 mill (?) for him, let's cash in on that. Hopefully, we can find the combination WBA is willing to accept.

2 MILLION...take that deal now. They must of had a nice drinking session in order to come to that decision. Take that and reinvest straight away.

Still holding out hope that tomorrow will bring some joyous news. Maybe a Healy signing or even the double swoop of Koumas and Kamara.

I read that Koumas was gonna be up at the price of around 6M so if we offer 5M and players for both Koumas and Kamara they will reject it. This is getting exciting as it looks like we will splash the cash and we are actually going after decent players. If we can bring in some of these players we will be a club to challenge for Europe.

Yes, yes, that is what I like to hear. Enthusiasm mixed with optimism. I am with you on that FFC24. I will try and maintain that glass half full approach.

Kamara and Koumas both have a fair bit of quality and lets see what Fayed is willing to throw their way.

The thing is FFC24, Koumas is not worth near 6m...only in this inflated marked would he be that much! The bubble will burst.

Crouch and Bent are actually good. Jagielka's personality and versatility would be great to have... but Fulham is going to have to overpay for Koumas and Kamara. Do you understand that?

A Pollack or Slovak manchild would go for much less... just would take a little more effort to dig'm up.

Fulham needs to be smart with their change. That's all I'm saying.

Bouazza looked great against Man U in the FA Cup.

Completely understand that we will have to overpay, but what side hasn't overpaid for their players in the past two-three years.

Not too sure digging up players from Poland or Slovakia is the answer. You are thinking outside the box.

Fulham should think and do outside the box, otherwise it won't stay up for very long.

It is okay to overpay every once in awhile, but it better be on the right fellows. Hopefully Koumas and Kamara are about to reach their full potential, if they even come to Craven Cottage.

Maybe American Mike or somebody knows... but I think Healy won't be coming until sometime in August because of Leeds' administration mess.

I'm not all that excited about Koumas and Kamara. Hopefully they'll payoff, but it looks like Fulham is going to overpay to get them and they don't play defense.

Healy doesn't excite me either, but I like him and hopefully he'll play like he does for Northern Ireland.

Signing a Nakamura would excite me or some young buck from a distant land.

Haven't read anything that would put a hold on his transfer and it has been a long time since Leeds hasn't dealt with some form of administration problems. That club is a mess and continue to keep dwindling away.

I have heard he will not be made available until maybe the end of the transfer period... on August 26.

Nakamura is unfortunately out of the picture for Fulham and their budget. Can't see Fayed paying that much for a player. Probably would be his most expensive signings hes ever made.

I hope there isn't anything that will stall the Healy deal and he can get to Fulham soon. It would be great for him to have all the pre season matches under his belt.

I've read tons of articles on possible transfers to Fulham and the funds/players that Fulham has offered thus far. Now it may just be me, but Fulham seems to be low balling a lot of clubs. I know inflation of players pricing are continually going through the roof and no one wants to be taken on a deal, but West Brom is the second club to laugh off Fulham's bid for a player. West Brom wants 10 million and Fulham offered 5 million.

No idea what Fayed and the chairman are thinking, but they haven't been too savvy in the transfer market thus far.
