There's no way Lee Cook is better than DeMarcus Beasley. And I hope Mike is right about all this action.

Regardless... I'm excited as hell about the upcoming season. We have the best home and away kit in Europe. We're in a relegation battle from day one. It's going to be awesome.

Saturday mornings at the Richmond Arms in Houston await.

Who said Cook was better than Beasley? They must of had a few too many last night.

I'm excited about the season as well...would like to see some signings made soon, but they will come. The best part about this next season...I get to watch as many matches as I can at CC.

Found a few Fulham tid bits on the BBC:

Fulham's Franck Queudrue says he will "look at what options come his way" as he does not like new manager Lawrie Sanchez's long-ball approach (Mirror)

    and

Fulham owner Mohammed Fayed is interested in investing in Scottish Second Division side Ross County. (Record)
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The first bit about Q not being happy with the long ball approach has already been heard before. I agree with Q that long ball is not the way to go. I hate that style of play and lacks imagination. Hopefully Q will decide to stay. The main positive is that I haven't read any clubs interested in signing Q at this time. Hopefully he decides to stay with Fulham.

The second clip surprised me a bit, especially with Fulham supposedly in so much financial trouble. Have no idea why he is interested in a second division scottish side. Anyone else know?

One final thing I found. Aliadiere, the talented 24 year old Arsenal striker, has just signed for Middlesborough. I had to shake my head when I read that, but it does make sense him moving on in order to play first team ball...Middlesborough though? Haven't yet seen a figure of how much they paid, but it would be an opportunity come and passed if he went for under 4-5 million.

Skysports (I'm too lazy tol link) is reporting DeMarcus Beasley is interested in going to the Gers (Rangers).

I don't think anybody said Lee Cook is "better" than Beasley, but they said they wanted to get him and didn't want Beasley so much. Which to me doesn't make sense. Get them both. We need left footed options out on the pitch.

Odds are Beasley is off to Rangers. I haven't heard any other clubs that are in for him. IMO that is a step back in his career, but Nakamura has performed fantastically in that league and seems to be in the same mold as Beasley. Other than Nakamura can score phenominal free kicks with great consistency.

If QPR want what is reported then we should look at other options. Also Chris Baird handed in a transfer request so we might get him.

QPR will take what they can get probably. They know he is going to go sooner rather than later. Hopefully if Fulham needs to bump up their bid a bit they will do so.

After this post the Summer ins and out thread will have reached 427 posts.

How many posts will this thread obtain before Fulham either signs a player this transfer period? And who will that first signing be?

If someone guesses the number of posts and the player Fulham signs correctly I will figure out a prize to send them.

My guess is hmmm...512 posts and the player will be Healy (maybe wishful thinking)

I agree with Healy, but I think it won't come until 526.

The more and more I think about the prospect of Healy joining the McBride, John and Helgusson up front the more I believe Fulham have a legitimate shout from staying safe from relegation. He is a classic goal mouth poacher and something Fulham is in desperate need of.

Still no CB within sight yet, but I am hoping Mike's prediction of a big name signing comes to fruition on Monday...no clue who it could be, but odds are he is from Northern Ireland. ;)

Fulham, Portsmouth, Everton, Middlesbrough and Sunderland are chasing Lokomotiv Moscow and Scotland striker Garry O'Connor. (The People)

He plays with a bit more pace than McBride and as of now he has about a 3 games for every one goal scored average. He seems to be a bit of a fringe player at Moscow since leaving Hiberian and his position is in danger of being taken Traore.

Not a bad option and only 24 years old. His original moved cost the Moscow about 1.6 million...Not sure if that means his price has gone up or down. Nice to see LS looking beyond Northern Ireland.

**Updated Monday: His agent has just stated it would be a true dream come true if the Scotish International could return to England, but his price tag will probably deter the top three clubs that are in for him. (Everton, Portsmouth and Fulham) Lokomotiv want at least 3.5 million for his services. Bit of a hefty price tage if you ask me.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Harewood has been said he is suprlus at Upton Park and has been given his walking orders. His price tag will hover around 2.5 million and Fulham seem to be right in the thick of it to sign him. Fulham's closest competing rival for Harewood's services is Derby.

I believe that Harewood is a raw talent and brings great size up front. He lacks composure sometimes, but when he is on form he is a very difficult to defend.

Out of the two above, I would rate Harewood higher. He's a proven scorer in the league and that is what Fulham needs.

The only news that I found I edited into a previous post. Just basically outlining that Lokomotiv are not going to let O'Connor go for anything less than 3.5 million. Tall asking price, but O'Connor is desperate to leave due to family issues. Fulham along with Everton and Pompey are still chasing him as well.

Most interesting thing I saw was that Radz wants to stay in England and that Watford and Southampton are both interested. I could have sworn he'd be playing for Toronto FC by now.

Oh, and evidently LS is interested in a guy named Healey who is from Northern Ireland -- this just in.

433 POSTS ON THIS THREAD AND NO FRIGGIN SIGNINGS!

i was hoping Radz would go to Toronto cuz i wanted to go see him in person when they came to Salt Lake. I sincerely wish him the best wherever he goes. Goals withstanding, his commitment to the club was 100% and I love how he gave it his all 100% of the time

Where is he rumoured to be heading? I thought I read something about it earlier today on a transfer gossip column.

More importantly, "God" himself may grace the MLS this season. Get your scoring boots on, it is time for a show.

Odd though this may sound for an expansion team, I don't know that they need him. With Buddle and Cunningham and Dichio, they've got a decent amount of scoring punch already.
