13 Goals under Coleman in 05-06. Not too bad, but you would like to see him improve under Sanchez.

CJ (liked his interview on the offal board) is like Jimmy B in that he basically missed the whole season (albeit for obvious different reasons). Thought he looked really up to finish the season strong before he got hurt (Everton away game??)

Its a big 'if', but the kid has shown he can score at this level. We all know that LS must get more out of the team that he has now on the roster, getting the best out of CJ would be a good place to start, and basically a summer transfer since last year he was persona non grata.

there's no point in selling CJ right now, because I don't think we could get anything. might as well keep him and see if he comes around. i am thinking ufjafulsi is going to be too expensive. so who else is a target for central defense? curtis davies is likely to get priced up as well I assume.

what about danny shittu from watford? anyone from Ligue 1 at central defense worth picking up? all i keep hearing about guys from Ligue 1 is striker or midfielder

Those prices teams want are unrealistic. I mean Baird is not worth 2.5M and Davis could go for cheaper than that. Ufalusi is a quality player and 5M euros is rather cheap for a player that has experience and is damn good at this level.

These players also have to want to play for Fulham. Most of these guys have more than just Fulham interested in them.

Sanchez and his staff are just going to have to unearth some people that nobody knows about, like Lee Cook.

That is a good point. You want players who are willing to put all they have into the club and put the proper amount of work on the pitch. If a player just views Fulham as a stepping stone onto bigger and better things then Fulham is better served to seek out another player.

Well... I meant they want to have to come to Fulham. If you are being offered by Everton and Newcastle why are you going to come to Fulham? Fulham simply isn't an attractive destination right now for higly rated players.

On another note.... Mido, the Egyptian prima dona, is rumored to be coming to Fulham for like 7million.

Hope al Fayd is paying for this outside the 10million budgeted.

I dont think anyone doubts that Mido has talent, but I just his motivation. He is a player who really only cares about himself. When he willing turns his back on his national side simply, because he believes they dont have a chance to win a tournament. what is that? Thought it was great that Egypt went on to win without him.

7 Million would be a terrible waste on Mido. While he will most likely score a fair amount of goals, couldn't imagine his locker room presence being anything but a nightmare.

With regards to Collins John, let's keep in mind that he's still only 21 and two years ago as a 19-year-old he led the team in goals. It's WAY too early to be giving up on him.

Well... Fulham has an American and Egyptian connection. Two of Al Fayd's 20 something sons sit on the Fulham Board.

Yeah, I don't think it would be a "bad" signing... but this guy is the antithesis of Brian McBride. Just hope if this is true that al Fayd is covering the transfer fee and wages, outside of what he's given Sanchez.

Still not too convinced with Mido. Healy, Cook and Jones could all help in attack in an efficient matter. Fulham could acquire all of them for almost half of what Mido would cost.

I am going to keep posting this until Fulham does something about it, but we need defenders first and foremost!!! Our defense was attrocious last season and the season before. If we are going to improve as a team and not be mired in or near the relegation zone we must buy some new defenders that can step in and play right away.

Definitely... Fulham's main problem is defence. Certainly something will be happening to the back four.

Igor Tudor, Russell Anderson have been names dropped. I'm hoping we pick up Paul McShane from West Brom. Maybe we can pick up some people on loan from some of the bigger clubs. Jonathon Evans is from Northern Ireland, but I bet if he goes away from Man U again it'll be back to Sunderland and Roy Keane.

So you are going with the best offesnse is a good defense approach.

Defense at this time seems to be the most pressing issue. Again...Simek comes to mind. That is just me though.

No, no... all those players are defenders. McShane's a RB, Evans a CB, Anderson and Tudor CBs. Fulham needs defense. Fulham's offense sucks though too. Fulham just isn't that great all around, but I am definitely for the "build from the back" approach. Got to have the defense fixed before anything else will work.

Liverpool has been doing that as over the past three years. Cisse, Baros, Bellamy, Kuyt, Fowler (as of now), Crouch (big fan of his) aren't going to set the world alight, but a solid defense and great goalkeeping has kept them in loads of games.

Not saying it is the most attractive manner to win matches, because everyone loves to see goals but it is an effective one.

The top 3 priorities in my opinion should be:
    1- Center back
    2- Center back
    3 Center back

then we can start talking about strikers.

    Zat Knight...ship him out
    Christanval...sorry...got to go Phil
Pearce...this is called "the pine"....the only way you're getting off of it is if our top 3 and then Boca go down. i'd suggest some sun flower seeds....the bbq kind. :)

Just my opinion on some of the players that may come in or ones we already have.

In January, I had accepted that we should sell John but now with Sanchez there, I think he will get the most out of him. Every player that Sanchez has used as a striker in Northern Ireland (and has succeeded) is the exact type of striker as John. So I say one more season and then assess him. At 21 he has plenty of time to get back to form.

I don't think Ufalusi is out of our range at all. 90% of what these players care about is a paycheck, anything additional is extra (Europe, living in a nice city like London, etc). We can offer him more than what he's getting paid at Fiorentina and we need a CB and we are in London. We have a chance.

As for Mido. I'll take him...I wanted him before he signed for Spurs but I think he is looking to prove himself and we need a player like that.

    The BBQ kind. Great choice.

Supposedly sunflower seeds release the most endorphines that make individuals happy out of any other food known to man. Should help with the demotion to the pine.

Take the BBQ variety, then slam a handful of kosher salt into the bag, shake it, and voila! Salty deliciousness.
