Does anyone else feel like letting Davies go out on loan makes NO SENSE AT ALL unless he strongly wants out?

I thought it sounded odd that we were looking at another right sided midfielder with Davies and Dempsey both able to cover this position. If we are letting Davies go I hope we are getting a quality addition because he has been one of our better players this season.

I have a hard time believing we're going to find somebody better than Davies and available to sign within the last six hours before the deadline. I suppose I'm willing to be proven wrong, of course.

the only way Davies to Rangers makes sense is if it's part of the Cousin deal. Simon has been our most consistent midfielder this year. I think he, Dempsey, and Niemi have been our best players by far.

    I just don't understand.

Mikey, need to teach the singers "Finlandia!"

I am not commenting at all on anything until the deadline has passed. It will only lead to more dissappointment. I don't like what I'm hearing so far though. I hope RH is going to underpromise and overdeliver at the deadline.

Unless there's something else, we don't know about in the last hours of the transfer window....how could we let Davies go out on loan? I realize things are getting crowded in the mid, but he's done a good job for this season. We'll have to wait and see what comes out of this little rumor.

Great to see the Finns coming in. I'm sure Litmanen has a little left in the tank and can"t wait to see where we'll slot Kallio into the lineup.

With all of these January signings and everyone seeming to get healthy, our squad is getting rather large. There should be lots of options for these final 14 games.

The Guardian's rumor page says it's Steven Davis. Makes more sense.

Also, Cook on loan to Charlton looks pretty official now, and Tony Warner is going to Barnsley on loan...must mean Keller is ready to go.

was just going to pass along the Cook news. What? Is he going from our physio room to Charlton's? Hope he says hi to Corey Gibbs when he gets there.

Corey Gibbs, when healthy, should settle the USA left back position for 2010.
Is he playing these days or were you saying he is STILL on the mend?

last I heard he was still in Charlton's physio room. That's about two matches short of three full seasons he's been injured.

Hey, how come no one is jumping to grab Hughes, Baird, Healy, or Kamara? Oh that's right, they're not good.

    lmao!!!!!

just saw this by the way:

"Norway international defender Erik Hagen has joined Wigan Athletic on loan for the rest of the season."

could this mean we are back in for Scharner and therefore Bruce has gotten a replacement?
