I think it would be hard to justify buying another left winger with Bouazza and Cook already on the books. Diomansy can play there too, and Senegal looks to be just about done in the ACN.

I agree but here's the problem: one is currently on IR without a return date and the other has been on the 30-day DL the entire season.

We need a left winger, but only on loan.

Yeah, a loan signing would be nice. Royston Drenthe is rotting on the bench at Real Madrid at the moment. Someone like that would be perfect - a young player who needs playing time, but isn't getting much at their current club. Theo Walcott might be another possibility.

Haista Paska.....it looks like we may get another Finn. There's talk in the Finnish News, but I can't read it. So I found this on Wiki...supposidly he started as a striker, but has since moved back to defence, but he has the abality to push forward on the wings. His latest matches with the Finn National team, he did a quality job on Ronaldo in their two matches. This might be the help we need in the back. I guess we'll wait and see.

    Toni Kallio

    Date of birth August 9, 1978 (1978-08-09) (age 29)
    Place of birth Tampere, Finland
    Height 194 cm
    Playing position Defender/Winger

Toni Kallio (born August 9, 1978 in Tampere) is a Finnish footballer. He is a full back or winger.

Kallio is a defender who currently plays for Fulham FC in the English Premier League. He has also played for FC Jazz, TPV Tampere and HJK Helsinki in Finland's Veikkausliiga, for Molde F.K. in the Norwegian Eliteserien and for Young Boys in Swiss Super League. He became Norwegian cup champion in 2005. In 2007 he briefly went on trial at Russian giants Lokomotiv Moscow and played 3 times.

Kallio has recently been playing for the Finland national football team and is in the starting XI. He plays as a full-back despite naturally being a strong winger.

If Fulham could just wrap up the Cousin deal then I would feel a great deal more comfort in Fulham's attacking options. There are some odd rules in place to limit player's transfer abilities...

No, Kallio doesn't play for Fulham....smart *ss. That is what showed up on Wiki, when I was checking out his bio. Kind of like Nevland did earlier, before he was announced as signing with us. It's probably a rumor, but worth posting.

I hope I didn't sh*t on your birthday cake, by not explaining it better for you.

No, I know, I was making fun of Wikipedia for jumping the gun, not making fun of you for saying so.

(Afterwards I fixed the Wikipedia entry. :D )

looks like we missed out on Simic:

"Milan defender Dario Simic is set to remain with his current team after coach Carlo Ancelotti and general manager Adriano Galliani blocked the transfer of the player who was heading towards Fulham.

Dario Simic will remain with the Rossoneri as Ancelotti pushed for this option rather than to sell him to Fulham as it was predicted in the transfer rumours of the last few weeks.

The Croatian defender was a target of coach Roy Hodgson and everything seemed to point out towards a smooth negotiation that would lead him to England in the Premier League.

However, Ancelotti has opted to hold on to the player who is currently considered as a reserve of Kakha Kaladze and Alessandro Nesta, but considering Paolo Maldini is not in the best physical condition, the Rossoneri have decided to keep him as a precaution.

This will surely not please the player who was hoping to move elsewhere in order to have more playing time, but the 32-year-old defender will now have to sit on the bench for the remainder of the season."

Seriously, if it's any of you that keep changing Toni Kallio's Wikipedia page to say that he plays for Fulham, cut it out. :x

    No Cousins either.

    http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story ... 09&cc=5901

"Daniel Cousin's £3million move from Rangers to Fulham has fallen through after FIFA refused to sanction the transfer."

"Cousin, 30, had played 20 minutes as a substitute for French club Lens before his summer switch to Rangers and the football governing body are refusing to budge on their stance."

That is absolute horseshit about Cousin...I can't believe it. However I guess we should have seen it coming considering RH kept signing strikers.

And to think I thought it would be a mere formality that FIFA would rule in our favor. 20 f@%#ing minutes in August??? Why would common sense, a sense of fair play, or an even playing field be part of any FIFA decision? They make the NCAA look like an honorable organization.

TimmyG, could you post your e-mail?

Well its similar to what I recently posted on my blog, but here it is:

"Well Kenny your guy Cousin cant come to Fulham because he played for three clubs in one season. Yet no one seemed to care when Mascherano did it LAST season. I didnt rate Cousin highly, but FIFA proved they're a racket that just looks out for the larger clubs. And now Fulham doesnt have a striker. Remind me again why I should follow this sport?"
