It says he's a tall forward. Does this mean that Cousin is off or are we trying to get every tall forward in the world? I have never seen him play so I have no clue about his ability. I hope he is decent, but even the best forward Korea has is not that good in this league so I will not expect anything great.

I was never tremendously impressed by Routledge. He was really fast but had no idea what to do when he got where he was going. Kind of like a stupid version of SWP or Aaron Lennon.

Of course, Routledge can learn how to cross but you can't teach a slow guy to be fast.

I think the ideal formation would be like a 4-3-2-1 that can become a 4-3-3 when needed with Dempsey and Johnson on the wings and McBride or Cousin in the middle.

Sounds like the Erik Nevland deal is back on, and FC Groningen fans are talking like he's already left. I think there's a decent chance he'll be with us in time to play tomorrow.

Nevland signing is official, according to FC Groningen's website.

edit: or at least, they accepted our bid. Personal terms still pending, but he seems to have been rather anxious to sign with us.

Wow! Wikipedia is QUICK! I just wiki'd Nevland to get some info on him and they already have him playing for FFC!

Anyhow, he averaged around a goal every two matches with Groningen, and that's pretty good in whichever league you're in. If I have a doubt about him is that after 22 U-21 caps, he only has had two full Norway caps, and he's 30 now. Well, at least he should be hungry.

    We'll see.

I'm glad we were able to work out the Nevland deal. It'll probably be too late for tomorrow's game, but he seems ready to jump right into this relegation battle.

Also on Sky Sports, Cousin seems pretty sure his transfer will be ok'd sooner than later.

"I am confident." He told L'Equipe. I am convinced that everything will be sorted out. I have already begun training with the Fulham squad."

So Nevland is pretty much a done deal and Cousin is close. That is 3 forwards signed,1 midfielder and a CB. Not bad, but I think we really need a winger on the left side. I like our defense and our forward options now we need somebody to give them quality crosses.

Can anybody tell me what position Neil Clement from West Brom played? I forgot as he was quite rubbish for them and it appears we want him on loan.

CB and LB. Speculation is he would be brought in as either depth behind or competition for Konchesky.

If Reading pick up a Right Mid, they may be willing to get rid of Convey - I know, I know, another American, but he'll be 1) affordable and 2) his style fits within Hodgson's system.
