Has played well for rankers so far this season. Big target and can score. He's a solid addition.

He has played very well for Rangers this year. Hopefully he can come straight into the team this weekend at the Reebok and we can take them out!

Yes! I watched this guy in one Champion's League game and I was thoroughly impressed. He is big and can be paired with dempsey or another striker up top and knock down and win long balls played into the box.

The idea behind him will be very similar to Brian McBride except he is a giant African. We needed one too. Has anyone seen a picture of this guy??? His face has more muscle than Kuqi's entire body.

According to Football 365 our initial bid for Nevland has been turned down.

I noticed this morning that Kuqi is no longer listed offal's roster of players.

Cousin is 6'1", I'm not sure that qualifies him to be described as "giant".

It will just look that way when he stands next to Healy.

I am not sold on Cousin. I mean he was scoring every time he touched the ball like 3 years ago with Lens and then has slowed down since. I have never heard of him until that season with Lens. That is not a good sign when a player who was 28 at the time just started to come onto the scene. I think he can either be a bust in this league and help us out next season in the colaship or be a good signing and help us survive relegation.

Litmanen would of been a good signing 10 years ago. Next.

Lets get Johnson and get some class like Kewell along with another CB and I am happy.

Litmanen is still better than 90% of the team

You mean Litmanen is still 10 years older than 90% of the team

Cousin isn't exactly among my all-time favorite players (being a Gers man and all), but he does have a penchant for scoring goals. The problem with him is that he has a tendency to lapse in concentration and drift out of matches for long stretches. One Gers fan went as far as to say that it seemed like Cousin just didn't care.

Then again, he was probably auditioning for a gig in the EPL the whole time. This might be one of those proverbial "hit or miss" signings.

No it won't be hit or miss...it will be hit and hit and hit and hit the back of the net all the way out of relegation!

Yea, Litmanen is more experienced, he might be little slower, but knows all the shortcuts on the field...

Will he play the whole game with his left turn signal on? :D

Well, we might have some reservation about the guys he's trying to bring in, but at least it will give us more options. We don't have too many up front. But RH is still looking and he claims that he could bring in 6 or 7 total before the window closes.

I know Hangeland and Andreason will be ready to go on Tuesday and possibly Litmanen...but does anybody know if Cousin will be able to go or another striker so Dempsey can finally get back to playing an outside mid position where he belongs?

I am all for us signing a good 6 or 7 players before the window closes. I would prefer if all our signing was done like by next Tuesday so the team can pactice together and such before Bolton. I do not want Litmanen. I think he would not add anything that is not already here and he is really old. I hope the Kewell thing goes through. He is top quality. He is injured alot, but if he can stay healthy for even this half of the season he would add some much needed quality.Everything else looks decent. We look like adding a little bit of everything. I hope these signings come through.

I got a chance to see how Cousin plays in the SPL and he was decent for Gers. He shows decent quality with his feet and good aerial presence. This is pretty much how he has always been. I am still not sold, but it took a game to remind that he is a decent player.

I agree with you FFC about Litmanen...I just don't see what he would add or where he would fit in once Cousin is here, but then again we may not need him once Cousin keeps getting balls sent in to him by Dempsey and becomes the EPL's leading scorer even though he didn't even play half a season!!!
