    Hi,

Advice needed, from a soon-to-be FFC exile :)

I work for a US company and my boss has asked me to take on a larger role but based in the US for a couple of years.

From an "ex-pat Brit" point of view where should I be looking to live? Our HQ is outside San Francisco (Pleasanton, actually) but being a city type I am keen to rent something in San Francisco.

I have been to SF a few times already and like the place - but this has always been from a visitor perspective rather than a resident.

Advice and recommendations gratefully received :)

I can't say I have ever been to San Fran Burt. I hear it is a nice city though. I have also heard that alongside New York City it is the most expensive city to live in as well. That is really all I know.
