    There's an example... he believes in polls. Polls have NOTHING to do with 'cause and effect'.. nossir! That's why they're all within a couple points of each other. {/snark}

And I suppose the widespread feeling, once McCain got the nod, of conservatives to just stay home is just anecdotal, as well.

    Suck that kool-aid boys!

I have a question... why the hell would I make this shit up, when I really truly believe Obama's gonna win? And when I am FAR from a McCain supporter. Why the hell would I want to take the abuse? And be proven wrong.

I'm with you Fog, McCain is not your kind of Republican, so point made.

I have a feeling it will be a 10 point spread tomorrow. Big sigh.......well it is time to start getting used to the new administration.......yikes...let's hope for the best.

Well, it's election day and I have finally determined how I am voting on everything.. My problem with voting early was finding the time to research everything that will be on the ballot and determine how I will vote. I also dont want to vote early because something could happen between when I cast my vote and election day that might change my mind.

From all reports, early voting was much heavier than normal in most states but especially in North Carolina.

I didnt decide how I will vote for President until last night and I sincerely hope that I will not regret my decision. "Spread the wealth" is a term that does not sit well with me; let's just hope Obama was trying to get certain people to the polls with that line.

Helath Care, Health Care, Health Care.

Those would be the big three issues for this election. The economy will come back, it is just a matter of how fast and to what extent. However, people just keep getting older, living longer, and need medical assistance. How do we tell the "greatest generation" and "baby boomers" to fuck off and go die in a sewer or old folks home?

    Answer: We don't.

Mo: I was WONDERING where that "Hope" part of the slogan went.

Well, I'm gonna HOPE that , too. Never mind his lifelong associations, and his voting record... let's HOPE!

When you read the newspaper or magazine, where do you go to find out what the real issue summary is? The last paragraph.

Nope.... we'll ration health care. Now who do you suppose will get the decision.... someone who's gonna die soon anyway? Or someone in their thirties.

You better do your research before you answer.

Without research, I don't predict the U.S. turning into Logan's Run. I think, change that, I HOPE, we start concentrating on preventive care for those 50 or under, which in turn could allow for more financing for hospice.

I cannot see a future United States that does not pursue a more socialized health care system. Just as government must pay a estimate of receipts on a restaurant that they take to widen a highway, I hope private health care workers get similar consideration. Meanwhile, I hope many health insurance companies go out of business. Slimy, inhumane organizations at their worst right now.

Franek... that's amazing! How are you going to FORCE people into preventive health care! The lessons to be learned are now appearing in UK and Canada. We have to hope it's more like France, from what I've read.

And you're seriously contending that making those employees of the govt system will change things? I dont know how Fla BMV works... but guess which system works best in Ohio and where I go to renew my plates... the franchise office.

I like France's model, except for the billions of dollars in debt part.

Obviously you cannot FORCE people to be preventive, but you can focus on educating them. Arguably, that has already started.

The franchise office for license plates??

Yeah... believe it or not. State {some counties} allow a non-profit {Kiwanis, in the case i'm talking about} to operate a license bureau agency. Very fast, efficient and they understand I'm a customer and that I only do the drill once a year. Dont lose patience answering dumb {to them} questions.

The auto title bureau {state employees} next door... whole different demeanor.

educating them dont mean shit. You have people now paying into health care to cover it and still cant be bothered. Trust me.. I'm the poster child.

Well, I knew he would lose, so I shouldn't be surprised but Ohio just went to Obama. It is definately over now. A brave new world.

I guess on the bright side I can now just focus on my cycling and what is wrong with Fulham. :)
