The woman's death was covered over and over on the local news. The 911 call from the EMERGENCY room (the son wanted an ambulance to be sent to King) was mind-boggling. To listen to the perplexed operator when finding out that woman was IN the waiting area and her subsequent call to the police was incomprehensible.

King has been tetering for years, the fact the hospital never brought in the leadership to get it back on track is surprising and above all sad. Mismanagement in LA area hospitals isn't limited to King, the closest hospital to us (Brea Community) closed its doors over a year ago.

It's not limited to LA either... the 'poor peoples' hospital in Dayton Oh closed long ago.

Their clientele wasnt ALL poor, but they rated very high on non-collected. A trip to "Accounts" explained why... Affirmative action.

And where do you dump the incompetent that you hired but cant fire? As far away from the patient as possible.
