Have to try and find the link, but read that Ernie Stewart who is the Director of Football for AZ said they have a valuation of 8-10 million for Jozy. He didn't say what the Sunderland bid was, but would have to guess they came in w/a lowball offer of 4 or 5.

Jozy's first game in a Sunderland uniform will be against us at the Stadium of Light. I hope he scores but Berbatov scores more.

Yep, it caused me to watch the Villa match instead.

Jozy looked strong, quick, and dangerous early against Vidic today, but was easily contained by Jones in the second half. I don't know if this is because Jozy ran out of gas or because Vidic isn't the physical presence he was.

He really needs to keep that standard of play going. He's getting a lot of encouragement from the Sunderland fans.

Only saw the second half and Jozy looked frustrated and slightly hobbled. Starting to worry about his situation and everyone knows that he could find himself on the bench sooner rather than later given Sunderland's league position.

I saw most of his game and thought he worked hard and did a few nice things. With the way Sunderland played though he was never going to get on the score sheet. He was on an island up top like has often been the case when he plays for the US. It was a thankless shift. Hopefully things get better for Sunderland and Jozy's results will follow

Saw this article about the new gaffer at Sunderland praising Jozy's performance against Southampton in the League Cup where he featured prominently in both goals (2-1 win). A powerful header could only be parried away which was put back in for a goal, and his assist led to the match winner. NOW, for the love of GAWD please put in a performance in a league match.

I've watched all of Jozy's league matches this season and haven't a single complaint about how he's playing. He's creating and contributing. He's not scoring because his job doesn't put him in good positions to score.

It is odd how going to the Premier League seems to kill his form. It's still early this time, as you say, but I can't help wishing he'd put this move off until next season. Hopefully he gets on track b/c Jozy's form with the US seems almost entirely predicated on scoring goals and not all of the other things he may be doing right.

Of course, there's the counter argument that scoring in Holland translates to scoring in CONCACAF but it won't translate to scoring in the World Cup whereas what he's doing at Sunderland will better prepare him for that environment. Makes for an interesting chicken/egg conversation.

He was doing everything right but scoring. Now he's added that.

He did it by posting up John Terry and turning him. Not an easy trick. Hopefully that's the spark that kicks off a good goal scoring run for him...as long as they keep losing 4-3. ;)

Wow. Terry looked like someone had unexpectedly smacked him upside the head. Good news indeed. Hope we see lots of that in Bra-seel next summer.
